About the Role

This role is for a creative, talented, and passionate Product Designer, responsible for crafting user-centric design solutions for Business Wire. We are looking for someone with a strong background in Visual and UI design who can bring a level of polish and craft that sets the standard for the rest of the organization. In this role, you will be entrusted with complete ownership of the product design process, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring our experience is not only functional, but also intuitive for users. You will be responsible for creating and shaping the product design strategy and vision of our user-centered solutions that are timely, useful, and beautiful while working with a cross functional team of product managers, engineers, designers, and marketers. Common artifacts include interaction models, interface and visual design concepts, prototypes, user task/interaction flows, navigation and information architecture maps, storyboards, persona/scenario development, etc.  In other words, you’re a full stack product designer. 

What You'll Do

    • Execute the product design process, ensuring a seamless and end-to-end user experience.
    • Independently create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, managing all aspects of product design.
    • Develop and maintain product design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
    • Work closely with product managers and developers to ensure design vision is executed accurately.
    • Conduct comprehensive user research and usability testing as needed and available to guide and validate design decisions.
    • Collaborate with marketing to adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

What You'll Need

    • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in Product Design, with a strong emphasis on software products.
    • Visionary, driven individual with a deep and proven history of conceptualizing, building, and delivering product design solutions, including experience having worked with Product Managers and Engineers to convert ideas into prototypes.
    • Ability to prioritize competing initiatives, before selecting and executing with a sense of urgency.
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating a user-centered design approach and expert design skills.
    • Technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers.
    • Mastery of Figma, FlowBite, Ant Design, and other relevant design tools.
    • Exceptional communication, leadership, and teamwork skills and experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
    • Proven track record of successful project delivery and impact on product design.
    • Prior work experience in public relations or related industry is a strong plus.

      What We Offer
      The base salary range for this position is $115K to $125K/year.  Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.  Business Wire reserves the right to modify this salary range at any time.
