Product Designer
North Hospitality - Remote

The Product User Experience Designer, Hospitality, will be responsible for aiding and assisting in the design of digital products and applications across all North Hospitality platforms.
The Designer will assist with large-scale company initiatives and maintain relationships with Development and Product teams, and develop detailed market analysis data, high-level requirements, and user-centric design language that informs UI Designers and other key stakeholders.
What you'll do:
Develop the design of digital products with detailed mockups and documentation based on user experience best practices and high-level business requirements.
Develop best-in-class user experience patterns and design languages based on educated insight into human behavior and established digital practices.
Drive conversations with Product Owners to establish product feature sets and build high-level requirements based on understood user needs.
Conduct user research and compile competitive market analysis data. Develop customer-focused personas and build informed product workflows based on customer behavior.
Be a primary point of contact with Engineering Team Leads and Developers to collaborate on building refined products and answer usability questions.
Act as an approval layer in the QA processes for design and user experience reviews.
Create polished interactive product prototypes and present to senior leadership.
Contribute and/or write UX copy and craft user-centric messaging.
Review final assets and design systems from User Interface (UI) Designers. Provide feedback that focuses on product and brand consistency.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Psychology, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a Master's degree.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a related UX Designer role, or Software Engineer role.
- Must demonstrate leadership skills and comfort with owning large-scale projects.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be both self-motivated and experienced working with developers, designers, and product managers.
- Must be able to work both individually and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Candidate must be experienced in responsive web design concepts and constraints as well as iOS and Android mobile design.
- Understand iterative development methodologies, including SCRUM and Agile.
- Expert understanding of digital design principles and keep on top of upcoming trends in web and mobile design.
- Experience in designing complete mobile and web products from concept to development completion.
- Innovation, creativity, design, and analysis skills are required.
- Experience with Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator required.
- Proficiency in Jira, Principle, and After Effects a plus.
- Experience in hospitality industries a plus.
- Certification in Human Factors preferred.

Salary Range: $75,000- $98,500
