Job Description:

Microchip Technology is seeking a Product Line Engineer to join our Memory Products Division (MPD) team. In this critical role, you will define new products, manage product lifecycles, analyze market trends, and drive business growth in the Flash and EEPROM memory product line.

  • Define and drive new product development, from concept through launch, including business case development and go-to-market strategy.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to plan and execute digital marketing, advertising, and social media campaigns.

  • Partner with Graphics and Web teams to create engaging web content and environments that educate and drive customer engagement. Work with the Analytics Team to measure effectiveness and improve SEO.

  • Develop and maintain business reports and dashboards to track performance and identify growth opportunities.

  • Create compelling outbound product collateral, sales training materials, and customer presentations that clearly communicate product positioning, benefits, and differentiation.

  • Define and develop technical articles, documentation, web, or video content to promote our products.

  • Execute new product introductions and launch plans, including collateral, training, pricing strategy, positioning, and customer support.

  • Analyze market segments to identify new opportunities and develop strategic recommendations (e.g. market sizing, key trends, competitive analysis).

  • Support Sales with product-specific expertise and competitive positioning for new design opportunities.

  • Manage product lifecycles, including launch planning, manufacturing ramp-up, forecasting, and end-of-life (EOL) processes.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering (or related field).

  • 10+ years of product marketing or sales experience in the semiconductor industry.

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor business models, manufacturing technologies, and industry challenges.

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling marketing messages.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and target market segments and execute strategies to drive revenue and growth.

  • Excellent written and Verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge-hungry, action-oriented and results-driven.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of non-volatile memory technologies (Flash, EEPROM, etc.).

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.

  • Hands-on experience working with electronics and microcontrollers.

  • Familiarity with website development and SEO best practices.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $75,000 - $232,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
