Job Summary
Hands-on technical contributor responsible for customer-focused system validation of enterprise and data-center SSDs, owning execution, debugging, qualification, and multi-functional coordination.
Responsibilities:• Plan and implement customer-specific system and SSD validation cycles, including regressions and qualification runs.• Set up and maintain validation environments and analyze test results to drive root-cause resolution.• Perform system-level and drive-level debugging and reproduce customer-reported issues.• Develop and enhance validation test cases, scripts, and automation frameworks.• Own the process of conducting validation for assigned programs while mentoring developing engineers and contributing to test strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in customer, product, or system validation roles.• Strong knowledge and experience with NVMe and PCIe protocols and debugging skills across system, firmware, and hardware domains.• Hands-on experience accomplishing system-level validation in complex hardware/software environments.• Experience collaborating with multi-functional engineering teams (firmware, hardware, systems).• Proficiency with scripting/programming in Python, C/C++, or similar languages and understanding of validation methodologies. Applying Artificial Intelligence to improve organization level working efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience supporting OEM, hyperscale, or cloud customer qualification programs.• Prior ownership of validation execution for customer-facing platforms.• Mentoring experience or technical leadership in validation teams.• Familiarity with industry certifications, compatibility testing, or joint qualification processes.• Strong communication skills for multi-functional and customer-facing interactions.
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$145,000.00 - $247,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
