This role is a Principal Analog Design Engineer focused on mixed-signal PHY clocking and high-speed I/O. You'll design original analog circuits that push performance limits and carry them all the way from concept to lab data. Your work will directly shape future interface architectures and influence how new ideas become trusted, product-ready solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$159,000.00 - $347,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. You'll design original analog circuits that push performance limits and carry them all the way from concept to lab data. Your work will directly shape future interface architectures and influence how new ideas become trusted, product-ready solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design custom analog blocks with a primary focus on PLL, DLL, and clock recovery circuits
- Contribute to PHY-level analog architecture and performance trade-off decisions
- Build and run transistor-level simulations including corner and mismatch analysis
- Partner with layout and digital teams to define clean mixed-signal interfaces
- Support silicon bring-up and correlate measurements to simulation results
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with MS or PhD strongly preferred
- 10+ years of analog or mixed-signal IC design experience with primary tape-out ownership
- Deep expertise in clocking circuits such as PLLs, DLLs, or CDRs in advanced CMOS
- Strong transistor-level simulation skills using HSpice or equivalent tools
- Experience defining analog-digital interfaces and initialization behavior
