Join AmTrust Insurance’s Virtual Auditor Team!

As a Virtual Auditor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate insurance premium calculations by reviewing financial records, conducting audits and collaborating with policyholders. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in a structured environment and enjoy investigative work.

You’ll begin with comprehensive training and mentorship to build a strong foundation and auto practices by the end of your first 90 days you’ll be confidently ramping toward a full audit workload and contributing to our team success.

Responsibilities

Training Timeline

  • First 30 Days: Partner closely with your training manager to gain hands on experience with our systems, tools and workflow while building a strong foundation in virtual audit practices 
  • Next 60 Days: Transition into managing your own virtual audit desk with increasing independence, applying your training to roll world scenarios, and refining your audit techniques 
  • 90 Day Mark:   Demonstrate full proficiency in conducting virtual audits independently, ensuring accurate earn premium calculations through through analysis of financial records and effective communication with policyholders.

Job Responsibilities Post Training

  • Apply advanced knowledge and auditing skills to independently conduct virtual audits of workers, compensation and general liability policies with minimal supervision vision, ensuring accurate earn premium calculation through detailed record analysis.
  • Verify correct classification of exposures and alignment with regulatory guidelines, state bureau, rules, and Company procedures by reviewing financial documents and other relevant materials. Identify and resolve policy rating discrepancies and covered during the audit process, conducting research and collaborating with stakeholders to address disputes effectively
  • Deliver additional value added service, such as business on boarding calls, and scheduled account check-in to support underwriting account management teams.
  • Communicate audit findings, and results with producers, underwriters and insurances and premium audit, leadership, fostering, transparency, and collaboration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders throughout the audit, lifecycle maintaining professional professionalism and responsiveness
  • State current with industry, regulations, manual rules, and market trends to ensure audit accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental goals and business needs.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline OR equivalent experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • strong, analytical, and critical, thinking skills, excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software
  • 1 or more years of premium audit experience
  • Associates in Premium Audit Program (APA) certification preferred OR working towards APA certification

The expected salary range for this role is $60,000-$75,000/year.
