Preconstruction Manager

Job Summary**
The Preconstruction Manager at Primoris Services Corporation is responsible for leading and overseeing all preconstruction activities, ensuring accurate and competitive bids, and fostering strong client relationships. This role is critical in securing profitable projects and driving the company's growth.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead and manage the entire preconstruction process, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering for various civil infrastructure projects.
* Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other contract documents to identify potential risks, opportunities, and constructability issues.
* Develop and prepare comprehensive, accurate, and competitive bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns, material take-offs, and subcontractor scopes of work.
* Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams to understand project requirements, develop optimal solutions, and build strong relationships.
* Conduct thorough site visits and investigations to assess existing conditions, identify potential challenges, and inform accurate bid development.
* Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure alignment with project specifications and schedules.
* Present bid proposals and preconstruction strategies to clients, articulating value propositions and addressing questions or concerns.
* Manage and mentor a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work.
* Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and material costs to maintain a competitive edge and identify innovative solutions.
* Participate in project hand-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to project execution.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in preconstruction and estimating roles within the civil infrastructure construction industry.
* Proven track record of successfully managing complex preconstruction projects and securing profitable bids.
* Strong understanding of various civil construction disciplines, including earthwork, utilities, paving, and structural concrete.
* Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, B2W Estimate) and project management software.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
* Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Targeted Salary - 135,000 - 165,000
