What you will do:
Solutions Architect Engineer JCI-Sensormatic is a leading provider of innovative security solutions, dedicated to enhancing the safety and security of individuals and organizations through advanced video security technology. We are looking for a skilled Solutions Architect Engineer to join our dynamic team, specializing in designing and implementing cutting-edge video surveillance systems. The Solutions Architect Engineer - Video Security will be responsible for designing end-of-the-end video security solutions and Access Control solutions based on customer requirements and industry best practices. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their security needs, creating system architectures, and ensuring successful implementation and integration of video surveillance systems.
Client Consultation: Engage with clients to assess their video security needs, technical requirements, and constraints.
Solution Design: Develop comprehensive video security system architectures, including camera placement, storage solutions, network infrastructure, and analytics integration.
Technical Specification Development: Create detailed documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and integration blueprints.
Implementation Oversight: Collaborate with installation teams during the deployment phase to ensure adherence to the designed solution and industry standards.
System Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate video security solutions with existing security systems, software, and infrastructure.
Collaboration with Technical Support: Collaborate with technical support and troubleshooting assistance with client’s post-implementation.
Training and Knowledge Transfer: Develop and deliver training sessions for clients on system operation and best practices for video surveillance.
Product Evaluation: Stay updated with the latest video security trends, technologies, and products, and evaluate them for potential integration into our offerings.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of processes, revisions, and updates to designs and architectures.
Stakeholder Management: Consult with project managers, engineers, and sales teams to ensure alignment and address any challenges during project lifecycle.
Design & BOM implementation: Support sales team with comprehensive proposal for the customer, conducting pre-sales and post sales engineering.
How will you do it:
- Collaborate with the Community of Architects to advance the JCI technology blueprint and ensure alignment of specific standards (Security, Data, Network, etc.)
- Participate in training, design, documentation, and delivery efforts.
- Focus on the life cycle of the JCI Technology Portfolio at an optimum total cost of ownership. Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state.
- Facilitate the planning and execution of business changes using standard business processes and technology.
- Oversee and facilitate the research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software solutions, related standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.
- Manage and maintain overall solution architecture, scalability, and integrity.
- Able to effectively influence stakeholders, team members, and peers to design and deliver optimal solutions in line with the best interest and expectations of the business.
- Organize efficient enhancement review sessions with the business stakeholders going through all their enhancement requests, helping them prioritize all demand.
- Work with the finance organization to manage statement of works, PO’s and invoicing comparing to available budget.
- Maintain a professional culture within the team, where individuals take ownership and focus on delivering excellence, quality and value for the customer and business.
- Responsible for the quality of solutions delivered, ensuring that appropriate development standards are maintained and followed.
- Use agile methodologies to maintain a strong focus on delivery priorities, holding others to account for delivery, and swiftly responding to changing requirements.
- Promote resilience and responsiveness in the organization by being open and honest about challenges, and the actions required to address unexpected developments.
- Keep up to date with the latest technology, software development technologies and methodologies.
- The ability to proactively suggest new ways of approaching tasks to provide a better service to our customer base.
What we look for:
Required:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in security solutions architecture, with a strong focus on video surveillance technologies.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, or vendor-specific certifications from manufacturers like Axis, Milestone, or Genetec) are preferred.
Skills: Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of video surveillance systems, IP cameras, NVRs, video management software (VMS), and network infrastructure.
System Design: Strong ability to design scalable and reliable video security solutions tailored to specific customer environments.
Analytical: Proficient in analyzing client needs and proposing effective solutions to meet those needs.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to address and resolve technical issues that arise during implementation and operation.
Preferred:
Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new systems tools for improving efficiency.
