Independently manages plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation, communicates with clients and providers, reviews and summarizes case records, conducts research, supports attorneys, identifies issues and solutions, and maintains organized electronic and paper files while handling a high-volume workload.
Pre-Litigation Paralegals independently manage assigned personal injury cases while working closely with attorneys to develop cases from intake through the pre-litigation process. The position involves:
- Extensive contact with clients to guide clients through the case process
- Communication with medical and records providers, experts and party witnesses
- Collect, review, analyze and summarize medical, financial, and other case-related documentation and records
- Well-developed writing and research skills, and the ability to advocate on behalf of our client
- Ability to anticipate attorney’s needs, identify potential problems and identify and recommend solutions
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload
- Experience in managing electronic (Filevine or other legal case management system) and paper filing systems
- 3+ years of progressive pre-litigation experience (plaintiff personal injury)
- Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate is preferred but not required
