  • Lead origination of wholesale power supply opportunities across multiple markets, including long‑term PPAs, tolling arrangements, hedging structures, and hybrid supply solutions

  • Source and negotiate power transactions with IPPs, utilities, developers, and other market participants

  • Own commercial negotiations, term sheet development, and contract structuring in coordination with Legal, Finance, and internal stakeholders

  • Evaluate market opportunities across ISOs/RTOs and vertically integrated utility territories, incorporating regulatory, congestion, and pricing dynamics

Commercial Structuring & Deal Leadership

  • Design and structure creative commercial solutions that balance speed, risk, cost, and long‑term optionality

  • Lead cross‑functional deal teams through diligence, approval, and execution, ensuring alignment on risk allocation and value creation

  • Support M&A activity by evaluating power supply strategies for acquisitions, joint ventures, and platform investments

  • Serve as a senior reviewer and decision‑maker for power deal economics, credit considerations, and counterparty risk

Strategy & Market Engagement

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with IPPs, utilities, developers, traders, power marketers, and advisors

  • Track power market fundamentals, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics to inform origination strategy

  • Partner with development, finance, and executive leadership to align power origination efforts with broader growth and capital plans

  • Represent the company externally in commercial discussions, industry forums, and strategic negotiations

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the power industry, with a strong emphasis on wholesale power markets

  • Proven track record originating and executing complex power transactions, including PPAs and structured commercial arrangements across multiple North American regulated and deregulated power markets

  • Deep experience working with IPPs, developers, utilities, and financial counterparties

  • Background in commercial strategy, trading, or structured energy finance

  • Strong understanding of power market fundamentals, ISO/RTO structures, and regulatory environments

  • Experience supporting or leading power‑related aspects of M&A and large‑scale infrastructure investments
