Location: Remote or Minneapolis, MN - Hybrid (3 days in a week)

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with retail domain experience to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building dashboards, data models, and analytical solutions using Power BI, along with a deep understanding of retail processes such as sales, merchandising, inventory, supply chain, and customer analytics.
Key Responsibilities

•     Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for retail business stakeholders.
•      Work closely with business teams (merchandising, sales, supply chain, finance, and marketing) to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
•      Develop and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and measures to support complex business logic.
•      Integrate data from multiple retail sources (POS systems, ERP, CRM, supply chain tools, e-commerce platforms).
•      Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and usability of reports and dashboards.
•      Collaborate with data engineering teams to prepare and validate data pipelines for reporting.
•      Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales performance, inventory management, and customer experience.
•      Support ad-hoc analysis and decision-making with data storytelling and visualization best practices.

What We're Looking For:

•      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
•      4 or more years of hands-on experience with Power BI development.
•      Experience in DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling.
•      Experience working in the retail industry (sales performance, merchandising, promotions, store operations, or supply chain analytics).
•      Experience integrating data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Retail), POS systems, and CRM tools.
•      Experience with KPIs relevant to retail, such as sales trends, margin analysis, inventory turnover, customer behavior, and loyalty metrics.
•      Ability to handle large datasets and optimize dashboards for performance.
•      Problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•      Experience with GCP/ Azure Data services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks) or other cloud platforms preferred.
•      Advanced analytics/AI use cases in retail (customer segmentation, demand forecasting, churn analysis) preferred.
•      Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence preferred.

The pay range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 per annum.
