The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for a Platform Tester to support a fast-paced program with the US Space Force. The Platform Tester will enhance the integration of security practices into our DevOps processes for a large Air Force weapons system program. This role is vital for eliminating repeated, preventable failures in software deployment and mission software reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing best practices and a strong desire to improve reliability within our applications. This position offers a valuable opportunity to further develop your career in platform testing within a Space Force program, contributing to the secure and efficient development of software in a challenging and innovative environment. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive testing of cloud infrastructure, applications, and services within a hybrid Azure environment to ensure they meet specified requirements and standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests using tools like Azure DevOps, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using Azure Boards or similar tracking systems, ensuring clear communication with developers and stakeholders for resolution.
  • Conduct load, stress, and performance testing to evaluate system behavior under various conditions, ensuring scalability and reliability of cloud services.
  • Assess the security posture of applications and infrastructure, including compliance with Azure security best practices and standards.
  • Verify that all components of the system work together seamlessly within the hybrid cloud setup, including on-premises and Azure cloud resources.
  • Create detailed documentation for test cases, test plans, and results that can be used for compliance, auditing, or further development.
  • Work closely with developers, system architects, and other IT staff to troubleshoot issues and integrate feedback into testing cycles.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience with 4+ years experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience. Additional experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizen with a SECRET clearance
  • Familiarity with Azure services like Azure VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, etc.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Certifications: Preferably, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or equivalent certification or CompTIA Security + CE.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of Azure architecture, including networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
  • Proven experience in managing or testing applications in a hybrid cloud environment, integrating on-premises solutions with Azure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Azure DevOps for automated testing and deployment.
  • Experience with performance and security testing tools specific to cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to debug complex issues across hybrid environments.
  • Additional Certifications: Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
