In this role, you will ensure that AcuityMD’s in-person employee experience runs smoothly and consistently, anchoring onboarding, workplace culture, and employee engagement. You will own and evolve our in-person onboarding framework and cultural programming, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with remote initiatives. You'll also partner with People leadership to support the broader employee lifecycle, including performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.

Team MissionThe People Operations team is dedicated to building an exceptional employee experience that supports our mission to accelerate access to cutting-edge medical technologies. We design and deliver scalable, people-first programs that foster a culture of inclusion, learning, and excellence. From onboarding to offboarding, we ensure every AcuityMD employee feels supported, empowered, and connected.
Responsibilities- Own In-Person Onboarding: Rethink, design, and fully own the Boston-based in-person onboarding and first-week experience, ensuring a warm, seamless, and consistent welcome that aligns with remote-first practices.
- Drive In-Person Culture & Engagement: Plan and execute initiatives that connect Boston employees, including events, rituals, and cultural programming, while reinforcing our broader culture.
- Integrate Remote & In-Person Experiences: Partner cross-functionally to ensure local initiatives complement company-wide remote programs.
- Employee Lifecycle & HRBP Support: Partner closely with People leadership to support the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations casework, performance management cycles, and offboarding. This includes coordinating investigations, documenting employee conversations and PIPs, preparing calibration materials, conducting exit interviews, and analyzing attrition trends.
- Refine Processes & Scale Operations: Spot opportunities to improve People Ops processes; build, document, and implement enhancements that improve consistency and scalability.
- Act as a Culture Champion: Build trust across all levels of the company, act as a resource for employees, and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Required: Hands-on experience supporting and delivering employee experiences in high-growth, hybrid, or distributed environments, with a strong understanding of how to bridge in-person and remote work.
- Required: This is a Boston-based role. You must be located in the Boston area.
- 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or employee experience roles.
- A builder’s mindset: energized by creating and improving processes, eager to make things better, and comfortable rolling up your sleeves to execute.
- Strong track record of building or scaling onboarding and engagement programs.
- Brings urgency and ownership, balancing detail orientation with a drive to push initiatives forward.
- Confident handling sensitive HR matters with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Strong communicator who earns trust and fosters connection across the organization.
- Passionate about creating consistent, inclusive, and human-centered employee experiences.
- Familiarity with HR tools such as Rippling and Notion.
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, or workplace operations.
- Exposure to employee relations or compliance topics.
