Location
  • Hybrid: Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.
Summary/Objective:

To lead and manage the Payment Services division within the Payments and Controls Department, encompassing ACH, Wire Transfers, and Check operations for the Credit Union. Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of these payment processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and guiding a team towards operational excellence. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of payment systems, exceptional leadership skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement, member experience, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Essential Functions include:
  • Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily processing of ACH, wire transfers, check payments, and Real Time Payments ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all payment processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Identify and mitigate risks associated with payment operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payment processing professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve payment processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and member satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on payment operations, including performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Member Experience: Address and resolve any member inquiries or issues related to payment processing in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Accounting, IT, Fraud, Business Banking and the Retails Teams, to ensure seamless payment operations and address any issues that arise.
  • Technology and Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of payment processing systems and technology. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years financial industry experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and proven experience managing ACH, wire and check processing.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management in payment operations.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of Payment rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills required, including reports, presentations, group facilitation skills, ability to develop professional relationship, and network internally and externally.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smartphone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Compensation Information:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between $87,087.96 and $108,859.95 plus annual bonus.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Anticipated Application Window:
