As a Clearinghouse Performance Senior Specialist you will support the generation and interpretation of the data that will empower Banks, Processors and Fintechs using our switch in Mexico.
You will be a provider of meaningful data insights to both Mastercard internal teams and to the Bank Association in Mexico, Mexico Central Bank, and other Mexico ecosystems entities
Position Summary
The Regulatory & Ecosystem Operations Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring operational developments, regulatory readiness, business continuity, and strategic ecosystem management across the payment network environment.
This role serves as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, industry forums, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational resilience, audit preparedness, and effective governance of the payments ecosystem.
Strategic Third-Party Ecosystem Management • Represent Mastercard Clearing House interests in ABM Operational and Technology forums. • Lead strategic relationships with key third-party partners, including Prosa, Eglobal, Merlos, Praxis, Visa, and future ecosystem participants. • Oversee operational performance, service quality, risk management, and contractual obligations of third-party providers. • Provide subject matter expertise on operational, technical, and governance topics impacting the payments ecosystem. • Participate in industry working groups, committees, and strategic discussions related to payments infrastructure and operational standards. • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with ecosystem partners to support new business, regulatory, and operational requirements. • Drive continuous improvement and collaboration across the payments ecosystem.
Industry Representation & Stakeholder Leadership • Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders to influence and support strategic initiatives.
Regulatory Engagement & Audit Readiness • Manage engagement with regulatory authorities, including Banco de México (BANXICO) and Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV). • Coordinate regulatory audits, assessments, and information requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses. • Maintain audit readiness through governance frameworks, documentation management, and operational controls. • Identify regulatory risks and drive remediation activities to ensure continued compliance.
Business Continuity & Operational Process Development • Own and maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and related operational resilience programs. • Lead periodic reviews, testing exercises, and recovery readiness assessments. • Design, document, and optimize operational processes to support scalability, risk mitigation, and efficiency. • Develop governance standards and operating procedures to ensure consistent execution across teams.
All About You
4 to 6 years of experience within the payments processing industry, preferably supporting payment networks, processors, clearinghouses, or financial institutions.
Strong understanding of domestic payment messaging, clearing and settlement processes, and payment ecosystem operations.
