The Opportunity

Introduction to the team:

SandboxAQ’s AI Simulation (AISim) division is building Large Quantitative Models (LQMs)—AI grounded in physics, chemistry, and biology rather than language—to solve complex problems that traditional AI models cannot. Through AQBioSim and AQChemSim, the team helps leading R&D organizations in biopharma, chemicals, and advanced materials accelerate discovery and development across drug discovery, batteries and energy storage, catalysts, and advanced alloys. The AISim marketing team works with a highly technical, scientific audience, including leaders in computational and medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, and materials R&D. The team’s mission is to build credibility with these sophisticated buyers and translate that credibility into measurable demand and pipeline.

Introduction to the role:

The AISim team is looking for a Technology Alliance Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is central to our efforts to grow awareness, credibility, and pipeline for our LQM capabilities through joint marketing with strategic technology partners such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and OpenAI. This person will (1) build and run co-marketing programs that advance our LQM capabilities across chemistry, materials, and biopharma; (2) turn our science and customer outcomes into partner-facing content that resonates with partner field teams and their customers; (3) grow partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline and route qualified demand cleanly to Sales and Alliances; and (4) track program spend and ROI to guide where we invest next. Reasons to want this job: you will work at the intersection of AI and science, partner directly with leading cloud and AI companies, spotlight our scientists and subject matter experts, and report results regularly to the Head of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Alliance and Business Development leads to plan and execute co-marketing programs with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, OpenAI, and other technology partners. Programs include campaigns, webinars, events, and conference presence. The goal is to promote and advance our Large Quantitative Model (LQM) capabilities across chemistry, materials, and biopharma. Establish a joint business planning cadence with each key partner, including quarterly planning, campaign calendars, and success metrics.

  • Work with Product Marketing and our scientists to turn research results, benchmarks, and case studies into joint value propositions, solution briefs, and thought leadership. The content should resonate with partner field teams and their customers, and it should spotlight our subject matter experts.

  • Run an always-on cadence of follow-ups after announcements, partner presentations, and speaking engagements. Include partner newsletters, field enablement, and introductions between our teams and partner sellers, so that each public moment becomes sustained pipeline and interest. Create partner-facing enablement assets such as pitch decks and demo scripts. Collaborate with partner sales teams to identify priority accounts and develop account-based marketing plans that leverage partner relationships.

  • Manage cloud marketplace listings and partner program assets (for example Google Cloud Marketplace and AWS Marketplace), including co-op and MDF funds where available. Track program spend, partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, and ROI, and report results regularly to the Head of Marketing.

  • Stimulate partner-sourced leads for our GTM offerings and route them cleanly to Sales and Alliances. Maintain pipeline reporting, apply a structured, hypothesis-driven approach to prioritizing partners and programs, and recommend where to invest next.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of formal education, relevant certifications, and hands-on professional experience.

  • 3+ years in alliance, partner, or B2B marketing for a technology company.

  • Strong written and analytical skills, with comfort translating technical or scientific content for business audiences.

Highly Desired Skills & Experience
  • Familiarity with hyperscaler partner ecosystems and marketplace programs.

  • Interest in commercializing cutting-edge technologies at the intersection of enterprise AI, generative computing, and computational scientific domains (materials science, chemistry, and life sciences).

  • Strategy consulting background prior to alliance marketing.
