General Summary
Do you thrive at the intersection of partnerships, marketing, and endurance sports? Are you energized by transforming partnership agreements into campaigns that genuinely move the needle for athletes, coaches, and brands?
At TrainingPeaks, we don't just sign sponsorship deals, we bring them to life with intention, creativity, and measurable impact.
As our Partner Activations Manager, you'll have the autonomy to shape how we activate partnerships as the orchestrator who ensures every collaboration delivers real value on both sides. You'll work alongside passionate sports professionals, bridging the gap between partnership agreements and the campaigns that bring them to life across social, content, events, and digital channels.
Core Functions:
Serve as the internal hub for all partner activations:
- Own the end-to-end activation process once deals are signed, translating partnership agreements with Olympic federations, app and device manufacturers, brands, event promoters, coaches, teams, and athletes into detailed campaign plans and deliverables.
- Serve as the central point of contact between partners and internal teams (marketing, creative, and product), ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
- Manage complex workflows, including creative briefs, content calendars, asset approvals, UTM tracking, and performance reporting.
Turn partnerships into programs with impact:
- Collaborate with our Global Partnerships Managers (Running, Triathlon, Cycling, Hybrid Sports) to understand each partner's goals, audiences, and success metrics.
- Design integrated activation campaigns with our Brand, Growth, and Product Marketing teams that span social media collaborations, newsletter features, podcast interviews, athlete spotlights, blog content, and live events.
- Proactively identify ways to amplify partnership value through innovative content formats, cross-promotional opportunities, and collaborative initiatives that deliver value beyond the initial agreement.
Measure what matters and optimize continuously:
- Track activation performance against clear KPIs and provide compelling recaps that demonstrate ROI to partners and internal stakeholders.
- Surface insights and recommendations that help us get better with every campaign.
- Build activation playbooks, templates, and best practices that raise the bar.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years managing partnership activations, integrated marketing campaigns, sponsorship programs, or events, ideally within sports federations, endurance sports brands, SaaS platforms, or sports technology companies.
- Proven success coordinating multi-channel programs with numerous stakeholders, tight deadlines, and competing priorities, including content production (copy, creative, video, podcast) and collaborating with external partners, agencies, and freelancers.
- Comfortable using project management tools (Asana, Slack), CRM platforms (HubSpot), and marketing/analytics systems to keep campaigns on track and measure results.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns without missing a beat.
- A clear, confident communication style that works equally well with pro athletes, executives, and internal creative teams.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and a passion for work that genuinely serves the endurance sports community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in endurance, fitness, or sports technology.
- Personal background as an athlete, coach, or endurance sports fan.
- Familiarity with TrainingPeaks, TrainHeroic, or similar training platforms.
