The Outside Sales Representative will identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and conduct sales calls and software demos, focusing on the cannabis industry.

Job Description
Our client is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to come in and hit the ground running by identifying new business opportunities, building rapport with potential customers, and ultimately closing deals on a regular and consistent basis. This role consists of calling upon potential customers and setting up in-person software demo meetings to show them how the software works. The ideal candidate for this role must be a self-starter as there will be little guidance and training and will also be expected to learn on the fly.
- Identify new business opportunities
- Target, qualify and pursue leads in accordance with company strategy and techniques
- Plan and perform sales calls, appointments, and site visits
- Create opportunities through a high volume of contact calls to potential clients
- Provide accurate weekly forecasting, including deal value, status, decision makers and steps to close
- Provide reports, which track contacts, calls, etc.
- Have an in depth understanding, and be able to clearly articulate the benefits of our software
- Closes sales by building rapport with potential client; explaining product, overcoming objections
- Service and manage all existing accounts in territory
- Obtain orders with all existing accounts in territory
- Expand existing client opportunity through new products and capabilities
- Attend cannabis industry networking and educational events
Qualifications
- 2+ years proven success in an Outside Sales role
- Cannabis industry experience required, Cannabis sales experience highly preferred
- Self-starter, highly motivated and outgoing , reliable and trustworthy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven territory management and sales planning experience
- Previous experience with client management
- Willing and receptive to training and personal development
- Travel required
- Comfortable working in the Cavnnabis industry and directly interacting with key players in the industry
- Ability to take in specific customer requests and requirements and convey those needs and wants back to the development team for future product development ideas
- An understanding of the marketing mix and the ability to recommend specific marketing activities within your territory to drive brand value and additional sales opportunities
