What’s the vibe like in the office?

Energetic! I’ve never worked somewhere so vibrant. Every single employee at Vangst is so passionate about what they do, and that’s reflected in the bustling office environment. All of our teams are incredibly collaborative too, so everyone gets to know each other well really fast – it truly feels like you’re going into work with your friends!

What projects are you most excited about?

The most exciting season is here (Croptober). Almost every project we're bringing in is in need of 10+ workers to harvest their plants. This is the time where we are able to connect entry-level people to their first jobs in the cannabis industry.

How does the company support your career growth?

My journey at Vangst started as a Recruiter. After two years on the Recruiting team I was given the opportunity to transition into a Sales Development Rep role. As an SDR, I now have the opportunity to help build out the new inside sales program for our organization, train all new hires, and help shape the future growth of the new team - Priceless!

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

We are currently in the process of hiring more Managers and Directors to ensure all employees have the same level of access to a leader or manager. I am a big believer that no one person can effectively manage more than 6-7 people at one time. When employees have a leader that they can access regularly, communication channels open up!

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Vangst inspires a strong work-life balance. You see a lot of hustle from everyone during the day in the office and we have a culture that shows you the return if you invest the extra hours. But when you need the flexibility, you’re able to work from home and feel the support of the team while you’re out of the office enjoying life!
