Operations Enablement Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a mission-driven, highly motivated team member to join our Core Operations team as the Operations Enablement Manager. This role sits at the heart of how we prepare, educate, and empower our 150+ person Core Operations team, which supports Alma’s providers and their clients through the complexities of mental health insurance. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Operations, you will design and execute scalable enablement strategies—from onboarding and training to QA-informed education programs to knowledge systems—that keep our team performing at its best, all through rapid change and growth.

As a founding member of a new, centralized enablement function within Core Operations, you will serve as a strategic partner to Ops Leadership and work closely with leaders across Product, Customer Experience, and People & Culture to ensure our team is ready for what’s next. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership, cares deeply about performance and impact, and thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. They are an early adopter of modern tools—including AI—to accelerate program design, synthesize complex information, and surface insights, always ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals. They bring clarity to complexity and know how to translate messy, cross-functional challenges into simple, scalable solutions.

This is an exciting time to join Alma: we are scaling quickly, building new capabilities, and investing deeply in how we grow and support our people so they can deliver exceptional experiences to our provider community and their clients. In the months ahead, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how enablement lives within Core Ops—and see your programs directly influence performance outcomes at scale.

What you’ll do:

  • Translate product, policy, and org-level changes into effective team enablement plans that include training, documentation, communication plans, and QA improvement strategies.
Partner with Operations leaders to analyze performance trends and workforce needs, proactively addressing knowledge or execution gaps.
  • Use adult learning principles to design and facilitate onboarding, continued education, micro-learnings, and skill-building programs tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Own and evolve our knowledge management strategies, ensuring teams have access to timely, clear, and actionable information.
  • Lead cross-functional enablement initiatives in partnership with our Learning and Development team and Operations leadership, owning content development, facilitation, and comms execution.
  • Drive the evolution of our Core Operations enablement strategy and help scale its impact through consistent tooling, frameworks, and feedback loops.
  • Motivate and influence the broader team to embrace a strong learning culture, supporting education initiatives across the Operations team as needed.

Who you are:

  • You have 5-7 years of work experience in enablement, operations, organizational development, or similar roles in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Start-up or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
  • You have experience with content management software and learning management software such as Guru, Docebo, and Articulate 360 and have a track record of being an early adopter of tech tools to drive innovative solutions for your team.
  • You are relentlessly organized with meticulous attention to detail and exceptional project management skills.
  • You are passionate about mental health, our mission at Alma, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).
  • You have experience designing for scale and have worked with large or distributed teams (100+); you know what good looks like at scale.
  • You enjoy managing, motivating, and developing the skills and growth of not just direct reports but your team at large.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal communication skills and can easily translate complex and technical details into actionable and digestible information for learners.
  • You have excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Benefits:

  • We’re a remote-first company
  • Health insurance plans through Aetna (medical and dental) and MetLife (vision), including FSA and HSA plans
  • 401K plan (ADP)
  • Monthly therapy and wellness stipends
