JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assigning the work and equipment of the Night Shipping operations to enhance the efficiency of the shipping processes and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.  They are responsible for communicating with Sales and other department leaders regarding changes to loads and shorts and assist in problem solving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets, prepare summary information for manager's review
  • Prepare and update recurring and routine internal reports, collect and verify data.
  • Evaluate current operational performance and participate in the creation of strategic ideas for improvement.
  • Train new selectors in the use of putty system and shorts process.
  • Prioritize routes for selection.
  • Create truck load sheets once routing/putty is set up
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings as needed
  • Responsible for locating product missing from slots.
  • Process orders into the putty system.
  • Set up truck loading sequence.
  • Audit loads
  • Determine if substitutions can be made if needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience

  • One year of administrative experience.

Skills

  • Type and proficiency

Minimum Required:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective written & oral communication skills
  • Strong 10-key skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work with all levels within the organization
