Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a friendly, professional, and energetic part-time operations assistant. Responsibilities may include a number of administrative and logistics duties such as new hire onboarding assistance, facilitating the pickup, storage and distribution of snacks to breakrooms across the facility, processing orders for office supplies, snacks, etc., pick up and distribution of mail and packages and assisting with event coordination for team events or training. Individual is expected to work 4-8 hours per week and will have flexibility on when work is performed inside of normal business hours but may be asked to work specific days of the week to ensure break rooms remain stocked.

Job Description:

  • Perform distribution of snacks to all designated break rooms twice each week
  • Conduct inventory of current stock levels and determine product needed to meet determined par levels
  • Pick-up of supplies in personal vehicle may be sometimes required with mileage reimbursed
  • May be tasked with executing orders from multiple vendors based on cost and availability
  • Manage order expenditures within budget as provided by the Space Operations Vice President
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of purchasing card to include the collection of approvals and receipts in compliance with Parsons policies
  • Coordinate with venues on cost and availability to support team events
  • Assist with planning and coordination of training events
  • Pick up and distribute mail and packages to team
  • Work hours are to be conducted inside business hours: M-F, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform assigned tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Strong oral and written skills to diplomatically communicate and interact with all levels of staff, vendors and venues
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant, outgoing personality, with “Can Do” attitude
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft 365 office products
  • Driver’s license with clean record
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds regularly

Salary Range: $16.15 - $27.45
