Requirements

Summary:

The PS Onboarding Consultant is a consultative role responsible for leading clients of any size — from small agencies to large, cross-segment accounts — through AgencyBloc’s AMS+ onboarding journey, from contract signature through go-live. No two clients’ businesses, data environments, or operational needs are alike, and this role does not follow a standardized, cookie-cutter process. The Consultant must exercise independent judgment and discretion to evaluate each client’s unique circumstances and determine the appropriate onboarding approach, combining product expertise, project management, and client relationship skills.
As a subject matter expert in AMS+ software, the Consultant advises clients on system configuration, data migration strategy, and workflow design, applying critical thinking and a high degree of problem-solving to diagnose and resolve complex, often ambiguous issues that arise during implementation. This position plays a critical role in shaping client satisfaction, time-to-value, and long-term product adoption, and requires the Consultant to weigh multiple viable approaches and make consequential recommendations that directly affect client outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Onboarding Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients of any size or segment during onboarding, exercising discretion in how communications are managed from kickoff through go-live.
    • Independently assess each client’s business goals, systems, and operational maturity to develop and execute an onboarding plan tailored to that client — no two onboarding plans are alike.
    • Lead client meetings to gather requirements, using professional judgment to interpret ambiguous or incomplete information and validate alignment with project objectives.
    • Proactively manage timelines, deliverables, and risks, exercising discretion in how conflicts are resolved to maintain project momentum and quality.
    • Evaluate go-live readiness using independent judgment and coordinate handoffs to Customer Success.
  • Consulting & Configuration Expertise
    • Serve as a trusted advisor, analyzing each client’s specific commission structures, VOIP/integration needs, and data environment to recommend and configure the AMS+ solution that best fits that client — decisions that require significant judgment given the wide variability across clients.
    • Apply a high degree of problem-solving to diagnose and resolve complex, non-routine configuration, integration, or data challenges that do not have a standard, one-size-fits-all solution.
    • Recommend process improvements that align client operations with best practices in the insurance industry, weighing multiple viable approaches to determine the best fit for each client.
    • Train clients on AMS+ features, adapting the training approach and content based on each client’s sophistication and needs, ensuring confidence in day-to-day system use at go-live.
    • Partner with internal technical teams to resolve complex configuration, integration, or data challenges, exercising discretion in determining when and how to escalate.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
    • Collaborate closely with Customer Success to ensure a smooth transition and consistent client experience post go-live.
    • Provide feedback to internal teams on client needs, product gaps, and process improvement opportunities, drawing on independent analysis of trends across a diverse, cross-segment client portfolio.
    • Contribute to the refinement of onboarding templates, playbooks, and documentation, exercising judgment as to how they should be applied given the inherently non-standardized nature of each client engagement.
    • Participate in post-implementation reviews to identify learnings and opportunities for improvement.

Skills/Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in software implementation, onboarding, or professional services (SaaS preferred).
  • Proven expertise in AMS+ or comparable agency management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion when addressing complex, ambiguous, or client-specific challenges without significant oversight.
  • Experience successfully consulting with and managing clients across a range of sizes and complexity levels, including cross-segment accounts.
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations, including commissions, VOIP setup, and workflow automation.
