Job Summary:

Responsible for oversight of Clinical Research Nursing department and Patient Care Technicians, if applicable. 


Compensation: $95,000 - $118,000 depending on experience, education, and skillset. 


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Creates staff schedules, delegates assignments and tasks.
  • Evaluates employee performance and disciplinary action.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for all participants on the assigned unit.
  • Provides and supervises direct inpatient care and assessment, ensuring quality care is provided to the participants while housed at the site.
  • Trains and educates nursing staff as appropriate on procedures conducted in trial (including but not limited to; vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy) as well as protocol review.
  • Coordinates in-service training, evaluations, continuing education, orientation, competency reviews, and other related training functions.
  • Ensures safety of participants and staff on site.
  • Collaborating with management team and various departments to ensure that studies are conducted efficiently and are completed with the highest quality standards and outcomes;
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license in the state in which the employee will be working, and not have any disciplinary actions on the license.
  • At least 2 years of inpatient RN experince.
  • Must be capable of performing all clinical tasks relevant to licensure and/or training.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally with patients.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, demonstrated through interactions with patients, staff, Sponsor representatives, etc.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks independently.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Must reflect the professional image of the company, upholding the company vision in actions and demeanor.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

 

Working Conditions

  1. Indoor, Clinic environment.
  2. Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, and walking.
  3. Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  4. Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
  5. On-site work arrangement.
