We are seeking a highly skilled New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Manager to drive the transition of custom ASIC and AI hardware products from development to full-scale manufacturing. This role is critical in ensuring smooth collaboration between engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing partners while meeting aggressive schedules and quality targets. The ideal candidate has a strong background in semiconductor and/or hardware manufacturing, supply chain management, and cross-functional project leadership.
This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, CA, Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Program Management: Lead the end-to-end NPI process for custom ASIC and AI hardware products, from prototype builds to production ramp.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing partners, and customers to define and execute project plans.
- Manufacturing Readiness: Ensure contract manufacturers and supply chain partners are prepared for production, including BOM validation, material readiness, and process qualification.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the NPI process (technical, supply chain, manufacturing) and implement mitigation strategies.
- Supplier & Partner Engagement: Interface with foundries, OSATs, and contract manufacturers to track progress, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
- Quality & Yield Management: Collaborate with quality and test engineering teams to analyze yield data and drive corrective actions.
- Schedule & Cost Control: Maintain project timelines, track budgetary impact, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in NPI, program management, or manufacturing operations within the semiconductor or hardware industry.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, including foundry processes, packaging, and test.
- Experience managing outsourced manufacturing with contract manufacturers, foundries, and OSATs.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in tools such as SAP (or equivalent ERP), PLM, and project management software (JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Project).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across global teams.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present to executives and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, Six Sigma, or other project management/process improvement certifications.
- Experience with AI hardware, HPC, or other high-performance computing applications.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in semiconductor manufacturing.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
