Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a APPGATE Engineer to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build and maintain new APPGate environment for the AGUN program.
Mentor junior members of the team in rolling out and maintaining new solutions / Implementations.
Work with O&M team to develop and Maintain knowledge base and TTPs.
Work with security teams to secure AppGate environments with the latest patches and configurations.
Develop and maintain APPGATE best practices.
Work with other engineering disciplines to troubleshoot enterprise issues with in the AGUN environment.
Performed vulnerability scans and implemented patching strategies to secure network infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active DoD SECRET security clearance. (US Citizenship required)
Holds an active DoD 8570 IAT-II certification.
Typically requires BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Appgate SDP Administrator certification
5 or more years’ experience with 2 or more of the following technologies:
Zero Trust & Appgate: Appgate Secure Access (SDP/ZTNA), Single Packet Authorization (SPA), Context-based Policies, Zero Trust Architecture, Access Control.
Cisco RAVPN solutions
Automation & Scripting: Terraform, Python, PowerShell, RESTful APIs, Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Demonstrated experience working within the Agile framework.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working within Army’s IT infrastructure.
Direct or indirect experience working on the Joint Regional Security Stacks.
Networking & Security: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN (IPSec, SSL), Firewalls, IDS/IPS, LDAP, RADIUS, SAML, OIDC, PKI, TLS.
Operating Systems: Linux (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu), Windows.
Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
