The right person will bring technical credibility, commercial discipline, and established relationships with customers who manage aquatic vegetation, algae, water quality, irrigation canals, reservoirs, ponds, stormwater basins, and related water systems.

Position SummaryThe consultant will develop and execute a national market development plan for aquatic chemical products used in managed water environments. The work includes customer development, technical product positioning, distributor and channel relationship building, customer education, market intelligence, and sales growth support.
The strongest fit is someone who understands the commercial and stewardship side of aquatic chemical use. This person should be able to discuss labels, appropriate use, timing, customer concerns, competitive products, and account opportunities with mature judgment.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national market development plan tied to agreed sales, account, channel, and product adoption milestones.
- Develop national sales opportunities for aquatic chemical products.
- Build relationships with irrigation districts, municipalities, lake and pond management companies, aquatic applicators, stormwater maintenance providers, water management firms, distributors, and related customers.
- Promote products for appropriate use in canals, reservoirs, lakes, ponds, stormwater basins, golf course water features, and other managed aquatic environments.
- Support product education, customer communication, market promotions, and technical positioning.
- Identify new business opportunities by customer segment, geography, application type, distributor channel, and market need.
- Provide product use information only where legally permitted and properly licensed.
- Support order facilitation, customer follow up, market feedback, and payment follow up as appropriate.
- Gather market intelligence related to product demand, competitive products, regulatory considerations, customer needs, and future registration opportunities.
- Represent the company professionally in relevant trade associations, industry meetings, conferences, and customer events.
Project and Market Exposure
The market exposure may include aquatic chemicals, aquatic herbicides, algaecides, biocides, managed water environments, irrigation districts, canals, reservoirs, lakes, ponds, stormwater ponds, municipalities, golf course water features, applicator networks, distributors, and water management customers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10 or more years of specialty chemical, aquatic chemical, vegetation management, water resource, infrastructure related, turf and ornamental, industrial vegetation management, or technical sales experience.
- 15 or more years of relevant experience is strongly preferred for senior national candidates.
- Established relationships with aquatic applicators, irrigation districts, municipalities, distributors, lake management companies, or water management customers.
- Knowledge of aquatic herbicides, algaecides, biocides, labels, use restrictions, application timing, and permitting sensitive environments.
- Ability to manage a national territory independently.
- Comfortable with a 1099 independent contractor structure and a performance based compensation component.
- Clear communication, practical judgment, and strong follow through.

Compensation and Benefits
Compensation includes a $10,000 monthly contractor retainer plus a performance based commission or bonus tied to collected sales, gross margin, new account development, territory growth, product adoption, and related performance milestones.
