General Purpose:

The Multimedia Designer is responsible for creating high-quality visual content that supports the firm’s brand, marketing, communications, and digital initiatives. This role combines professional photography, graphic design, video production, and digital asset management to produce compelling visual communications across web, social media platforms, and print.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Photography

  • Capture professional-quality employee headshots.
  • Photograph select conferences, award ceremonies, community events, firm offices, and other firm functions.
  • Plan and execute photo shoots using appropriate lighting, composition, and camera techniques.
  • Operate DSLR and mirrorless cameras along with professional lighting equipment.
  • Ensure consistent image quality in alignment with firm brand standards.

Photo Editing and Digital Asset Management

  • Edit, retouch, and enhance photographs using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Perform color correction, cropping, background cleanup, and image optimization.
  • Coordinate scheduling of headshot photos across the firm, including liaising with contract photographers in each firm office, as needed.
  • Process all headshot photos in accordance with firm specifications.
  • Upload and manage photography assets within the organization’s website and Content Management System (CMS).
  • Organize and maintain digital photo libraries and archives.
  • Prepare images for web, social media, and print distribution.

Web Design and Digital

  • Design and produce creative materials for both digital and print platforms.
  • Develop marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, posters, annual reports, infographics, presentations, email graphics. website graphics, digital advertisements, social media graphics, and any other requested material.
  • Ensure all creative materials maintain brad style guidelines reflecting the firm's professional reputation and values.

Video Production & Editing

  • Capture professional-quality video for firm communications, events, interviews, and promotional campaigns.
  • Edit videos for web, internal communications, and social media platforms.
  • Incorporate graphics, motion graphics, transitions, captions, music, and sound enhancement.
  • Optimize video content for multiple digital platforms.
  • Assist with livestreams or multimedia productions, as needed.

Multimedia Equipment Operation

  • Operate DSLR and mirrorless cameras for photography and videography.
  • Set up and utilize professional studio, portable lighting, wireless microphone systems, handheld microphones, audio recording equipment, tripods, gimbals, stabilization equipment, and other equipment as needed.
  • Maintain photography and video equipment to ensure proper operation.

Design & Project Management

  • Manage multiple creative projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with marketing, business development, and leadership to understand firm objectives and translate them into design initiatives and campaign development.
  • Maintain organized project files and digital assets.
  • Identify trends and best practices in photography, design, video, and digital media.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders through discovery meetings, design presentations, and status updates.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the firm’s overall objectives.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, photography, visual communications, marketing or related field, or four (4) years of directly-related experience/education required.
  • Two (2) years of graphic design experience or multimedia production experience and one (1) year of photography experience in a professional services environment, an ad agency, or graphic design firm required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Experience with Microsoft Copilot preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Lightroom. Working knowledge of other Adobe products a plus.
  • Content Management Systems (CMS) experience preferred.
  • Outstanding creativity and attention to detail; flexibility and persistence with the ability to work with little supervision and collaborate with the team.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

Work Environment:

Schedule:

At this time, this position allows for a hybrid schedule, generally in-office two to three days per week.  Additional days in-office may be required depending on business need and the demands of specific tasks.  The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the number of in-office days requirement.

Compensation:

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. The Colorado & Nevada salary range is $26.15 to $43.58 per hour.  A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
