About the role:

The Mobilization Associate helps run Indivisible's distributed grassroots mobilization programs across both Indivisible-led and coalition campaigns. That covers host support, training, and the day-to-day program work that turns grassroots energy into events and action. Reporting to the Associate Director of Mobilization, this role works closely with the broader Mobilization team and coalition partners to keep hosts supported and programs moving in both planned and rapid-response moments.


This role may require limited travel to support organizational priorities.


This is a full-time, short-term assignment anticipated to end on or before January 15, 2027. The salary for this position is $80,500 annually, and the role is expected to require 40 hours of work per week.


Please note: We are hiring five individuals for this role. Qualified applicants will be considered for one of the five available positions.

What you'll do:

Program Implementation & Support (45%)
  • Help implement and run distributed mobilization programs that engage grassroots members and leaders in both planned and rapid-response work.
  • Track program outcomes and produce debriefs that show what worked and what to change.
  • Keep the department aware of mobilization trends and campaign developments that should shape program design.
  • Help track program spending by submitting receipts and spend requests on time 


Host Support & Training (30%)
  • Build and maintain host-facing materials: toolkits, training decks, and support documents.
  • Onboard new hosts and walk them through what they need to run events.
  • Staff host support calls and coalition calls, answering questions and routing issues to the right place.


Coalition & Rapid Response Support (25%)
  • Support Indivisible's mobilization work within coalitions so grassroots capacity lines up with broader movement priorities.
  • Help deploy grassroots mobilization capacities quickly in response to developing events.
  • Keep relationships with partners and grassroots leaders supported in the day-to-day.


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in organizing, training, mobilization, or campaign work, including electoral, advocacy, or large-scale volunteer programs.
  • Familiarity with grassroots organizing models and distributed organizing.
  • Strong written communication. Comfortable producing host-facing toolkits, training materials, and program debriefs.
  • Able to stay organized and calm across multiple concurrent programs, especially during rapid-response periods when priorities shift fast.
  • Comfortable facilitating or supporting calls with hosts and partners.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting coalition or multi-organization campaigns.
  • Existing relationships in the progressive mobilization and organizing ecosystem.
  • Prior experience in a distributed/remote organizing environment.
