The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, UI-focused Senior Mobile Game UI Artist with strong visual craft and solid UX capability.
You will create polished, intuitive, and scalable interfaces for meta-heavy free-to-play mobile games. You will own the visual and interaction design of the user interface, contribute to the game’s broader visual direction, and ensure that approved designs are implemented accurately in the game.
This is a senior individual-contributor role. You will work closely with the Art Lead, Head of Product & Monetization, Game Designer, Producer, Unity developers, QA, and other contributors.

This position can be full-time, part-time, remote, or based at our state-of-the-art offices in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design polished and visually engaging UI for menus, progression systems, collections, rewards, events, offers, LiveOps content, and other mobile-game features.
  • Own interface structure, interaction design, UI patterns, and usability within agreed product objectives.
  • Partner with the Art Lead to define and maintain the visual direction of the game’s UI, ensuring it complements the game’s overall visual identity.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity screens, icons, and production-ready UI assets.
  • Translate complex F2P meta systems into interfaces that are clear, engaging, and easy for players to understand.
  • Create and maintain scalable, component-driven UI design systems in Figma.
  • Design responsive interfaces for different mobile devices, aspect ratios, touch targets, and localization requirements.
  • Blend 2D UI with provided 3D assets while maintaining readability, visual hierarchy, and a cohesive aesthetic.
  • Collaborate with Product and Game Design to communicate feature logic and player value clearly.
  • Work closely with Unity developers to provide clear specifications, assets, component states, and interaction guidance.
  • Review the UI after it has been implemented in Unity and ensure it accurately reflects the approved designs, interactions, and quality standards.
  • Use playtesting, player feedback, usability findings, and relevant product data to improve UI/UX decisions.
  • Explore and responsibly use approved AI-assisted tools to accelerate ideation, visual exploration, iteration, and repetitive production work.
  • Maintain accountability for the quality, originality, consistency, confidentiality, and production readiness of AI-assisted outputs.
What We’re Looking For

What you need to have:

  • 7+ years of relevant professional game-art or design experience, including 5+ years focused specifically on game UI art or UI/UX design.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual UI work for mobile games.
  • Experience designing UI/UX for at least two shipped mobile games that achieved demonstrable player or commercial success.
  • Strong UI art fundamentals, including composition, typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, layout, iconography, and polished 2D asset creation.
  • Strong UX and interaction-design capability, including user flows, wireframes, prototyping, information architecture, navigation, and mobile touch ergonomics.
  • Demonstrated experience designing interfaces for complex F2P mobile-game meta features, such as progression, collections, rewards, events, currencies, offers, or LiveOps systems.
  • Experience establishing or evolving the visual direction of a game’s UI and maintaining it consistently across multiple features.
  • Advanced Figma capability, including auto-layout, components, variants, variables, prototyping, and responsive mobile design.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for creating high-fidelity UI assets, icons, vectors, textures, and visual polish.
  • Experience creating and maintaining reusable UI components, design systems, or style guides.
  • The ability to prepare clear, production-ready designs and collaborate effectively with developers throughout implementation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain design decisions and respond constructively to feedback.
  • A reliable, organized, and pragmatic working style suited to a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Curiosity about AI-assisted creative workflows and a willingness to learn and use approved tools responsibly.

    Nice to have:

    • Experience working on card, board, social, multiplayer, or highly meta-driven mobile games.
    • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted tools to improve the speed or quality of a creative workflow.
    • Working knowledge of Unity UI, UI Toolkit, or comparable game-interface workflows.
    • Experience reviewing or implementing UI directly in Unity or another game engine.
    • UI animation, motion-design, particle-effect, or interaction-polish experience.
    • The ability to prepare, render, or manipulate 3D elements for use within 2D interfaces.
    • Experience supporting or mentoring other artists without necessarily holding a formal management role.
    • Familiarity with accessibility and localization considerations for mobile-game interfaces.
