Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
Develops human resources strategy in support of needs, goals, and objectives in assigned business unit and serves on unit management team. Helps influence business decisions by analyzing and reviewing human resource implications of planned changes in management, policies, programs, etc. Understands, develops, and utilizes application of HRIS systems to meet business needs. Provides leadership for HR department (includes Environmental, Health and Safety) . Fully understands organizational structure, jobs and job content/requirements in assigned area. Performs primary job evaluation of office jobs, determines proper job classifications, and advises/approves salary changes. Establishes and administers programs and procedures to maintain/improve employee morale and productivity. Provides guidance, counsel, and problem-solving support to Managers, team leaders, teams, and individuals for human resource/employee relations issues. Acts as a primary resource and represents the Company on legal issues and coordinates administration of workers' compensation, risk/safety, unemployment, and case management for Magna Mirrors personnel. Identifies, recommends, and implements solutions for personnel problems/concerns. Participates in disciplinary actions and conflict resolution situations. Works with team leaders to provide advice, ensure consistency of policy implementation and documentation, and monitor practices to ensure compliance with the law. Develops, communicates, and implements new programs and policies including, but not limited to, developing plans, procedures and programs to meet specific training needs of employees in area of responsibility. Develops, analyzes, coordinates, and/or conducts training for assigned areas. Oversees production/manufacturing hiring and takes part in the selection, interviewing, and/or hiring of leadership and other key positions in assigned area.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; or equivalent. Master's degree and/or other HR certification(s) desirable (i.e. SHRM, CCP, CCB, etc.).
Six years diverse professional and managerial experience including financial/budget responsibility, management leadership, and strategic decision making/leadership; or equivalent.
Proficient with application software.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate with internal and external contacts when performing job duties.
Demonstrated ability to handle matters of confidentiality discreetly and work with employees on issues requiring varying degrees of sensitivity.
Demonstrated broad understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures. Possesses specific knowledge in areas of compensation and benefits programs, Magna Mirrors policies, and labor laws in order to perform job duties independently and make decisions under minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs.
Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of multi-shift operations (i.e. working evening hours to cover employee needs on various shifts).
