The opportunity as Head of Paid Media

Ready to revolutionize healthcare marketing with a brand that's changing lives?

We're building a world-class team at Fella + Delilah, and we need an exceptional leader to supercharge our next phase of growth.

As Head of Paid Media, you'll command our entire paid acquisition strategy, wielding a $2M+ monthly Meta budget and comprehensive Google Ads arsenal to drive our ambitious growth targets. You won't just manage campaigns—you'll architect a performance marketing powerhouse that consistently delivers breakthrough results at scale.

You'll thrive at the intersection of data and creativity, working hand-in-hand with our Creative Lead to develop scroll-stopping, conversion-driving assets that outperform the competition. Your sophisticated understanding of Meta's algorithm and audience architecture will uncover opportunities others miss, while your Google Ads expertise ensures we dominate across the entire digital landscape.

This isn't just another marketing role—you'll be a key strategic voice in our leadership team, directly influencing company-wide decisions that will help us reach our mission of serving 10 million customers by 2028.

We're looking for a true media maverick who brings equal parts analytical rigor and creative intuition, someone who can turn complex data into simple decisions that drive extraordinary results.

This is a full-time remote role with competitive compensation for an exceptional candidate who's ready to make their mark on a fast-growing brand with massive potential.

You'll report directly to our Head of Growth (Dave Lane), as well as work closely with our CEO (Richie Cartwright)

Key Responsibilities

  • Straight away

      1. Take the reins: Own our $2M+ monthly Meta budget completely, freeing our Head of Growth to focus on bigger strategic initiatives.

      2. Scale strategically: Identify and execute opportunities to increase spend while maintaining or improving profitability metrics.

      3. Build a fortress: Architect a bulletproof Business Manager and ad account structure that safeguards our advertising capabilities against platform volatility.

      4. Drive performance: Continuously optimize campaigns, audiences, and creative strategy to maximize ROAS across the Meta ecosystem.

    • Take the reigns on Google Ads strategy

      • Lead the charge: Take full ownership of our Google Ads accounts, applying your expertise to drive performance across search, display, and video formats.

      • Cross-pollinate success: Leverage insights from Meta to accelerate Google's performance, creating a powerful dual-engine growth machine.

      • Unify the experience: Create seamless customer journeys through strategically aligned messaging and targeting across platforms.

  • In the near future

    • Architect our Growth Blueprint - Develop and execute the comprehensive media strategy that will propel us toward our ambitious 2028 customer goals.

    • Drive Creative Innovation - Work hand-in-hand with our Creative Lead to develop breakthrough ad concepts that combine data-driven insights with thumb-stopping creativity.

    • Expand Our Horizons

      1. Discover new frontiers: Identify emerging platforms with potential to become significant revenue drivers.

      2. Validate with velocity: Implement rapid test-learn-scale frameworks that efficiently validate new channels without unnecessary resource drain.

      3. Diversify our portfolio: Strategically build a resilient acquisition mix that maximizes growth while minimizing platform dependency.

Need to have

  • Proven Performance at Scale: You can point to specific examples where you've successfully managed $2M+ monthly ad spend with the metrics to prove it. When others hit performance ceilings, you find ways to break through them.

  • Meta Mastery: You've spent 5+ years in the trenches, scaling DTC brands on Meta platforms with seven-figure monthly spends while keeping ROAS strong. You don't just run ads—you have a deep understanding of Meta's ecosystem that lets you see opportunities others miss.

  • Google Ads Excellence: With 4+ years of hands-on experience across search, display, and video, you know how to build and optimize Google campaigns that drive significant growth alongside your Meta strategy.

  • Budget Command: You've owned multi-million dollar monthly media budgets before and know how to forecast, pace, and optimize spend across channels to consistently deliver growth targets quarter after quarter.

  • Creative Firepower & Vision: You blend data-driven strategy with creative intuition to develop high-performing ad concepts. You've built systematic testing frameworks that consistently produce winning creative at scale, and you know how to collaborate with creative teams to translate performance insights into thumb-stopping assets that convert.

  • Scale-up Experience: You've been through the exhilarating challenge of rapidly scaling DTC brands, successfully increasing spend month-over-month while maintaining or improving performance metrics when others would see diminishing returns.

  • Relevant Industry Background: You bring valuable experience from consumer sectors that will accelerate your understanding of our audience and acquisition landscape.

Nice to have

  • Healthcare Marketing Experience: You've navigated the unique challenges of scaling paid media for GLP-1 medications, weight management programs, or telehealth brands. You understand compliance requirements and how to create compelling messaging within regulated environments.

  • Attribution Wizardry: You're comfortable with sophisticated media mix modeling and advanced attribution methodologies that accurately measure cross-channel impacts, allowing you to make confident budget allocation decisions.

  • Boardroom Presence: You can translate complex marketing metrics into compelling business narratives that resonate with leadership teams and investors. Your presentations don't just show data—they tell the story of growth.

  • Team Builder: You've assembled and developed high-performing paid media teams before, mentoring specialists into strategists who deliver exceptional results.

  • Competitive Edge: You're not just focused on your own performance—you constantly monitor the competitive landscape, spotting trends and opportunities before others do, giving your brands a consistent advantage.

Our cultural standards

These are the core cultural standards to which we hold ourselves & our team-members at Fella:

  • Belief in the mission: We will have served 10 million patients by the end of 2028 and we transform the life of most patients who join. We have a lot of work to do. We are obsessed with our patients and are dedicated to the mission.

  • Unwavering integrity: We are at the frontier, so we often live in ambiguity with no trodden path. When we can’t look to others for guidance, we must maintain impeccable ethics and unwavering integrity.

  • Only the paranoid survive: Bad sh*t is coming. By joining us, you’re choosing to sail straight towards the storms with unhesitating conviction. However much we’ve already done, however far we’ve already come — it’s still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.

  • Your life’s work: This will be your most challenging, most rewarding role of your life. You’ll be shocked how capable you are & how much you can achieve.

  • If we’re average we fail: We are only interested in “insanely great”, a focus on the quality of our execution that in everyday life would be considered pathological. We have a dedication to excellence and reject incompetence.

  • Commitment to candor: That which can be destroyed by the truth should be. You get full transparency from the company and the company expects full transparency from you. We never say anything about someone that we wouldn’t say to them directly. We give feedback with love and do not need to protect people from fleeting physical sensations.

  • A maniacal sense of urgency: We execute at an intensity that most people think is impossible. Speed is critical and we need things done yesterday. We all work very hard and in such a competitive world there really is no other way to win.

  • Enduring frugality: We are frugal. We hate being wasteful and we are anti-luxury. A culture of cheapness keeps us young. We spend our cash wisely & carefully — in a way that would make our grandmas proud.

  • Bulldozing barriers: The world is malleable and we shape it. We truly believe this and act accordingly. We are relentlessly resourceful and are at the mercy of no-one but ourselves.

  • Keep your head down: We’re boring people doing exciting work. We don’t chase short-term status — we ignore short-term dopamine hits and focus on what matters. Outsiders will underestimate us and we revel in that.

  • The power of focus: We live in a world of power laws and we cannot overestimate the unimportance of practically everything. Know your One Thing, and nail it.

🎯 “You just build a fing amazing experience. Make each step amazing. Make every decision in the long term interest of the customer. Give the customer massively more value than you take.”*
