The Mechanical Designer will develop detailed 3D CAD models of skidded pumps and compressor packages. Creating detailed fabrication/assembly drawings along with performing engineering changes on existing drawings. The Mechanical Designer will be supporting multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. This position is based in Arvada, Colorado.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duties & Responsibilities
· Develop detailed 3D and some 2D CAD models of skidded pump and compressor packages based on customer requirements and internal standards
· Detailed design of auxiliary systems including piping, tubing, fittings, filters, heaters, heat exchangers, pumps, motors, instrumentation and base plates
· Create detailed customer and fabrication/assembly drawings
· Perform engineering changes (ECs) on existing drawings
· Model new vendor parts as necessary
· Support multiple concurrent projects
QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
· Proficient in 3D CAD modeling
· Self-motivated and highly organized
WE VALUE
· Ability to create complex system (lube oil, seal support and electrical) assemblies
· Ability to understand and create P&ID diagrams
· Background in skidded equipment design for oil/gas/petrochemical is preferred
· Knowledge of Siemens NX software package is a plus (we will mentor the right candidate) · Knowledge of 2D software, such as Autocad
· Knowledge of industry standard and practices (i.e. API, ASME, NACE ) is a plus
· Hands on experience with fabrication or production (preferred)
The annual base salary range for this position is $83,200- $104,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
