The opportunity
Our client is looking for a creative and strategic Marketing Specialist to join its growing team. In this role, you will build the company's brand presence across all channels, drive customer engagement through targeted campaigns and community management, and support business growth by cultivating partnerships and turning campaign data into sharper strategy.
About the organization
Our client is an unfunded, bootstrapped ethical AI companion company. It builds private, privacy-first AI tools — never trained on user data, hosted on renewable-powered EU infrastructure — and stands firmly against surveillance capitalism and digital colonialism. The current priority is scaling responsibly: growing a loyal user and partner community, sharpening the brand voice, and reaching new audiences without compromising the mission.
What you will do
- Develop and execute content strategy across social media, blog, and email, maintaining a consistent brand voice and messaging on every channel.
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns aimed at reaching target audiences, monitoring performance, and adjusting strategy based on results.
- Conduct targeted cold outreach to potential customers and partners.
- Identify and cultivate strategic collaborations and partnerships that extend the company's reach.
- Manage the brand's presence across social platforms and the Discord community, responding to and engaging with customers on social media and community channels.
- Monitor campaign analytics and report on performance to inform ongoing decisions.
What you bring
- Native or fluent proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute content and campaign strategies across multiple platforms, shown through past work samples or measurable results.
- Strong written communication skills and a clear sense of brand voice, able to represent the company professionally in all public-facing interactions.
- Comfort with modern marketing and productivity tools (social scheduling, analytics dashboards, CRM/outreach tools); experience managing a Discord or similar community is a plus.
- The ability to work independently across functions and time zones, balancing creative output with analytical follow-through.
- Previous experience in marketing, content, or community roles.
Helpful, but not essential
- Experience in the AI/SaaS sector.
- Familiarity with startup environments and distributed-team working styles.
- Prior exposure to mission-driven or social-impact organizations.
How the engagement works
You will contract directly with Apricot, which manages contracting, invoicing/payroll, payments, and administrative support. Day to day, you will work with the client's team and report to the co-founder. Your work will be based on the agreed scope and deliverables. You are expected to provide your own laptop and basic equipment, maintain reliable connectivity and a secure working environment, and follow required security controls, including two-factor authentication. Planned check-ins are in month 1 and month 3 to see how the engagement is working and help address issues.
