Project Slingshot is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to ending factory farming. We do this by exposing the lies, cruelty, and power of Big Ag through disruptive campaigns that cut through the noise, capture public attention, and build unstoppable momentum for change.

The Role

As Digital Marketing Manager (US) you'll be the engine behind Project Slingshot's US digital presence. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director (US), you'll make sure our channels are fresh, engaging and relentless in driving conversation and action.

This is a hands-on role: you'll oversee content production, manage schedules, nurture our online community, and keep Slingshot at the cutting edge of digital trends. You'll also play a key role in building relationships with influencers and supporters who can amplify our mission. You will know how to turn content into engaging storytelling that expands our audience reach and influences our audiences to take action.

What You'll Do

Content production & scheduling
  • Oversee day-to-day content production (social posts, reels, graphics, short videos) across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other key platforms.
  • Manage publishing schedules to ensure consistent and timely output.
  • Collaborate with creative and campaign teams to ensure content is on-message, disruptive and engaging.
  • Adapt global campaign assets for US audiences and platform formats.
Community management
  • Monitor and engage with our online community across platforms.
  • Respond promptly to comments, messages and questions in line with Slingshot's bold voice.
  • Proactively build and nurture a strong, active online supporter base.
  • Flag emerging issues, backlash or opportunities to the Marketing Director quickly.
Trends & growth
  • Stay on top of emerging features and trends on TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, with an eye for creative adoption.
  • Explore new platforms (X, Threads, Snapchat, Reddit, Substack) to identify opportunities for growth and engagement.
  • Test and experiment with new methods to capture leads and turn attention into action.
Influencer relationships
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers, creators and advocates aligned with our mission.
  • Manage outreach and collaborations to amplify Slingshot's campaigns.
  • Keep track of partnerships, deliverables and results.
Email & campaign support
  • Support the Marketing Director on email sends, landing pages and supporter journeys.
  • Help build and schedule campaign moments across email and social so they land together.
  • Keep supporter and audience data organized and usable.
Analytics & reporting
  • Monitor social media analytics and report on performance.
  • Use insights to optimize content and engagement strategies.
  • Share learnings and recommendations with the Marketing Director.


Requirements
We'd love someone who:
  • Has experience in digital marketing, social media management or community engagement.
  • Knows TikTok, Instagram and Facebook inside out.
  • Is familiar with other platforms such as X, Threads, Snapchat, Reddit and Substack.
  • Is skilled in content production and scheduling tools (e.g. Agorapulse, Sprout, Meta Business Suite).
  • Understands social media analytics and how to use insights to evolve strategies.
  • Communicates confidently, writes excellent copy and has a feel for impactful storytelling.
  • Is familiar with influencer culture and experienced in building partnerships with creators.
  • Is trend-savvy and excited by new platforms, features and ways to capture attention.
  • Is proactive, fast-moving and comfortable working in a bold, disruptive campaign environment.
  • Brings experience in farmed animal advocacy or nonprofit campaigning.
  • Is passionate about Project Slingshot's mission and hungry to play a part in ending factory farming.

  • Audience size and engagement growing across platforms.
  • Content goes out consistently and on schedule, with quality holding up under pace.
  • Our community is active, well looked after, and growing.
  • A working roster of influencer and creator relationships is delivering real amplification.

Benefits
Location & Working Pattern

This role is remote and based in the United States. Project Slingshot is a fully remote organization. Most collaboration happens online, and you will have regular overlap with colleagues in the UK. There will occasionally be opportunities and expectations to travel for team meet-ups, campaign shoots, conferences, planning sessions and other in-person events. Travel costs will be covered by Project Slingshot.

The Practical Details
  • Location: Remote, US,, with some travel for in-person meetings
  • Reports to: Digital Marketing Director (US)
  • Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000. Placement within the range is based on experience and location.
  • Benefits: Paid time off, paid holidays, pension contribution
