Job DescriptionOur client is looking for a passionate Marketing Manager to support their rapidly expanding company by developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for their entire organization, as well as nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness, and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy and goals, as well as develop a media relations strategy
- Direct social media to engage audiences across traditional and new media
- Create content for press releases
- Manage and create all posts for social media
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
- Previous Cannabis Industry experience
- Solid experience with social media, including: blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- Experience working in a flexible, small to medium sized company without marketing staff on the same level
- Expert in the internet and social media strategy with a demonstrated track record on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets that are significant in company outreach
- Excellent communication skills
- High developed, demonstrated teamwork skills
- Ability to think creatively and innovative
- Thrives in a start-up environment - adaptable, can handle ambiguity, be flexible
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges within the Cannabis Industry
- Strong sense of urgency
- Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills
