Marketing Coordinator – Military & Community Outreach
Client: Louisiana Army National Guard (LAARNG)
Program: Beyond the Yellow Ribbon (BYR) / Work for Warriors Louisiana (W4WLA)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Louisiana – Statewide/Regional Support
Schedule: Generally Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. CST; drill weekend and training support may be required
Travel: Statewide and regional travel required; occasional out-of-state travel may be necessary
Work Arrangement: Regional/Onsite with telework permitted when program requirements and regional coverage are maintained
Position Overview
Crossroads Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator to provide professional marketing, communications, digital media, and community outreach support to the Louisiana Army National Guard's Beyond the Yellow Ribbon (BYR) / Work for Warriors Louisiana (W4WLA) programs.
The Marketing Coordinator will help increase awareness of W4WLA employment and career-development resources among Service Members, veterans, military families, employers, and community partners throughout Louisiana. This position will develop and execute marketing campaigns, manage digital and social media activities, support brand development, create promotional materials, analyze campaign performance, and assist with community and employer outreach.
The successful candidate will combine creative marketing capabilities with strong communication, organization, analytics, and community-engagement skills and should have a working understanding of the military community.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, monitor, and evaluate marketing and outreach campaigns that communicate the value and services of the W4WLA program.
- Develop campaigns promoting employment resources, including resume assistance, interview coaching, career counseling, professional networking, and other workforce-development services.
- Manage and optimize the program's digital marketing and social media presence across approved communication platforms.
- Develop engaging digital content designed to connect Service Members, veterans, military families, employers, and Louisiana workforce industries with W4WLA resources.
- Maintain an effective and consistent social media presence and posting schedule.
- Support development and implementation of annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing strategies, goals, milestones, and campaign plans.
- Collaborate with Louisiana Army National Guard Service Member and Family Programs (SMFP) personnel on marketing strategy, brand development, market research, and outreach priorities.
- Conduct market research and brand analysis to identify opportunities for increased program awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Develop promotional campaigns and materials targeting Louisiana employers, businesses, workforce organizations, and regional industries.
- Support initiatives designed to expand W4WLA's network of employment and community partners.
- Create original marketing materials, including:
- Digital graphics and social media content
- Print materials
- Promotional artwork and illustrations
- Digital media
- Video and video-blogging content
- Advertising materials
- Program correspondence
- Coordinate marketing and outreach activities with other Louisiana National Guard Service Member and Family Programs.
- Assist with marketing and program representation at community events, military events, employment-resource events, networking opportunities, meetings, and other outreach activities.
- Travel throughout assigned regions and across Louisiana to support marketing, community outreach, employer engagement, meetings, and program events.
- Collect and analyze marketing and outreach data from approved Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and other authorized sources.
- Monitor digital and social media analytics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.
- Track marketing return on investment (ROI), engagement, lead generation, campaign performance, and other established program metrics.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing reports documenting performance against established goals.
- Maintain current information regarding W4WLA resources, employment opportunities, events, and services across approved online platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and support related to approved CRM tools and marketing data.
- Ensure marketing materials, media, and campaigns receive appropriate Government review and approval prior to public release.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Louisiana Army National Guard, Department of Defense, privacy, security, PII, and operational-security requirements.
- Perform other marketing, communications, and outreach activities necessary to support the continued growth and visibility of the W4WLA program.
Required Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Digital marketing
- Social media campaign management
- Brand strategy
- Community outreach operations
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating marketing or outreach campaigns.
- Experience creating digital, social media, promotional, or communications content.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including military personnel, families, employers, community organizations, and program stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, projects, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze marketing metrics, engagement data, and campaign performance.
Military Knowledge
Candidates should possess a basic knowledge and understanding of the U.S. military, including:
- Military organizational structure
- Common military terminology
- U.S. military branches
- Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard components
- Military rank structure
Experience communicating or working with Service Members, veterans, military families, National Guard organizations, or military-support programs is highly beneficial.
Education & Training
Candidates should possess a degree in one of the following areas or a closely related field:
- Marketing
- Communications
- Graphic Design
- Advertising
Military Training:Graduation from an official U.S. Military Technical Training School in a communications-related occupational specialty is also relevant qualifying education/training.

- Ability to comply with applicable installation access, background investigation, identification, cybersecurity, privacy, and security requirements.
- Ability to protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and other sensitive information encountered while supporting the program.
- Professional appearance and conduct appropriate for working with Government, military, employer, and community stakeholders.
