How Your Role Will Shape Our Success

The Marketing Coordinator will support Walker Consultants’ Corporate Creative team across a wide range of marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on conference coordination, execution, and follow-through.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping moving pieces organized, solving problems, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Our priorities can shift quickly as new requests come in, so the successful candidate will be comfortable adjusting plans, re-prioritizing work, and jumping into whatever the team needs most that day.

You’ll work as part of a tight-knit, creative marketing team that collaborates closely, works hard, and enjoys what we do. This role offers exposure to nearly every aspect of Corporate Creative marketing at Walker, from conferences and digital content to graphic design support, website updates, photography, video, data management, and company-wide marketing initiatives.

For someone who is curious, highly organized, creative, and eager to learn, this role provides the opportunity to build broad marketing experience while taking real ownership of important programs.

What Sets Us Apart?

Walker is 100% employee-owned! Join us and become part of a company where you have a direct stake in our success.
What makes this opportunity even more exciting is our true ownership program. At Walker, our equity-based model allows shareholders to directly benefit from the firm’s success, rather than a traditional ESOP that focuses only on stock appreciation. It’s a unique chance to grow with a company that values its people.

What You’ll Do

Conference Coordination & Execution
  • Coordinate conference needs from planning through completion, including swag, booth materials, collateral, promotional items, social media support, shipping, and other event-related logistics.
  • Pack, ship, track, and coordinate the return of conference materials, business development requests, collateral, and other marketing assets.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and tracking of booth materials and conference assets to minimize loss, damage, and unnecessary replacement costs.
  • Manage conference item maintenance, including laundering or dry cleaning booth materials, inventorying returned swag, inspecting equipment, and coordinating repairs or replacement of damaged items.
  • Maintain and update Walker’s conference tracking system with event information, attendees, travel costs, booth expenses, sponsorships, registrations, and other data used to evaluate conference investment and performance.
  • Conduct post-conference follow-up meetings with Walker attendees to gather feedback on booth performance, messaging, swag, audience response, contacts made, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide real-time support during conferences to help troubleshoot issues, coordinate solutions, and keep events running smoothly.
  • Assist with setup, event support, and teardown for select high-priority conferences, which may occasionally require domestic travel.
Corporate Creative & General Marketing Support
  • Support graphic design and production requests that come through the Corporate Creative team, including formatting and “Walkerizing” documents to align with brand standards.
  • Assist with maintaining marketing platforms and resources such as Templafy, OpenAsset, and other internal marketing systems.
  • Support creative content development, including photography, video recording, research, social content, and behind-the-scenes webinar logistics.
  • Make minor content updates to Walker’s public website and CORE intranet sites.
  • Enter, organize, tag, and maintain marketing content and data across marketing platforms and systems.
  • Help coordinate company-wide marketing initiatives such as holiday cards, service awards, client gifts, promotional items, and other special programs.
  • Assist the Corporate Creative team with evolving priorities and special projects as new requests and opportunities arise.
What You Bring

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, Public Relations, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 1+ year of relevant marketing experience.
Other Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to keep track of numerous details, deadlines, assets, and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt quickly when priorities change and confidently re-prioritize work as new requests arise.
  • Strong follow-through and a natural inclination to keep information, materials, and processes organized.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, polished work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team while also independently owning assigned responsibilities.
  • Comfortable communicating and coordinating with employees across different offices, departments, and levels of the organization.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to find solutions when unexpected issues arise.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, content management systems, digital asset management platforms, social media, photography, video, or marketing technology is a plus.
