Roles and Responsibilities
- Marine Senior Sales Engineer performs application engineering, maintains responsibility for the Power Conversion Marine Services solutions portfolio and leads development of technical solutions in support of sales pursuits
- Interface with sales manager and/or business development team to develop competitive technical value proposition thoroughly addressing customer challenges
- Lead engineering and project teams to develop accurate technical proposals and cost estimates for services solutions drawing on the Power Conversion Marine portfolio
- Manage key solution development in areas across the Power Conversion Marine Segment; including solutions for the propulsion, power management, controls and automation, dynamic positioning, and asset performance monitoring
- Leads the GE commercial technical risk process & all aspects of the Inquiry to Order process
- Work with sourcing to develop 3rd party industrial partners to enhance growth opportunities and leverage win-win technology partnerships
- Support customer meetings to demonstrate technical solution differentiation
- Work to optimize technical solutions, enhance margins
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) or equivalent technical degree
- Minimum 8 years of technical experience (Controls & Automation, Power Electronics, Power Management and Generation)
- Experience developing and delivering maritime technical solutions including Offshore segment, Merchant segment, United States Navy, and United States Coast Guard
Desired Characteristics
- Direct engineering experience with large complex systems in Marine Electric Propulsion and/or Electrical Power Management and Distribution
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
- Strong track record of working with cross-functional teams
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical solutions, including automation, low & medium-voltage motors, and variable speed drives
- Well-rounded business acumen – commercial, technical, and project management knowledge
- Graduate degree in Engineering
- Prior technical sales experience
- Strong time management skills
- Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
- Strong coordination and influencing skills
- Knowledge of customer financial drivers, CAPEX and OPEX
- Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (CMS, Excel, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $108,600.00 and $181,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
