This role supports and improves manufacturing operations by combining hands-on sustaining support with high-impact cost-reduction projects. This includes analyzing process cost structures and variances, applying value engineering and process optimization, and maintaining master data (BOMs, cost models, and routings). The role delivers cost-benefit analyses for process improvements and equipment investments, implements cost controls and cost tracking, and supports resource planning with product build-time information.
Your role:
Generate actionable insights into the relationship between processes and costs; advise management and project teams; and resolve moderately complex issues using sound judgement and appropriate analytical methods.
Apply lean manufacturing principles and Capex optimization to improve processes, tools, and equipment; enable cross-functional knowledge transfer of industrial engineering methods; and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, production managers, and stakeholders to drive efficiency without increasing headcount.
Conduct time studies to build and maintain cost models that break down operation time, material inputs, and cost of non-quality; analyze capacity, identify bottlenecks across ~9 lines, support line balancing, and translate operational data into actionable capacity and cost insights for Manufacturing, Planning, and Finance.
Coordinate master data management in SAP by partnering with Procurement and Manufacturing Engineering to maintain accurate, current material master data.
Ensure all components in the active bill of materials (BOM) are correctly costed by performing thorough reviews to confirm the accuracy and completeness of component cost data.
Define and maintain production-related manufacturing requirements in PDLM; implement design changes across the product lifecycle (LCM); and ensure work instructions and quality control plans align with regulatory, safety, environmental, and company policy requirements.
You're the right fit if:
You have 4+ years of experience with a bachelor's in manufacturing, operations, cost or production engineering, or no experience required with a Master's, ideally in production or manufacturing engineering.
Your skills include mastery of lean manufacturing methods (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM), time studies, line-balancing, and industrial engineering tools to optimize capacity and reduce costs.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You are a strong communicator, collaborative team player, and effective at stakeholder management, adaptability, problem-solving, and influencing others in cross-functional settings.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is an onsite role.
