Pivot Energy is seeking a data-first leader who has a keen eye toward building processes, tools, systems, and automations to drive revenue operations and optimizations. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Operations, this position will be responsible for the management and delivery of our core corporate products, including renewable energy credits (RECs) and power purchase agreements (PPAs, ensuring strategic alignment between sales, sales operations, client partnerships, and asset management.

This role is essential to building our in-house expertise and managing all processes, requirements, and compliances related to RECs and PPAs, optimizing our revenue operations, and ensuring that our commitments are achieved efficiently, effectively, and in line with industry regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy markets, financial and data analysis, and reporting, as well as operational process improvement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of our solar-based services, including utility relationships, timely billing and invoicing, customer crediting and account reconciliation, and reporting
  • Establish and implement systems to track REC, PPA, and other relevant sales, transfers, and related transactions; collaborating with sales and client partnership teams to develop and refine processes to manage long-term customer agreements and relationships
  • Work extensively with asset management, operations & maintenance, and registration entities to understand and analyze under-performance, reconcile production and energy credits, and adjust delivery strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with sales and client partnership teams to develop and refine processes to manage customer contracts, invoicing, and revenue recognition for energy transactions
  • Partner with structured finance and accounting to deliver on-time payments, billing reconciliation, and documentation required to meet internal and external audit requirements
  • Coordinate with the RevOps, Product, and Asset Management teams to build data sets and maintain the metrics required to track the health of project portfolios
  • Ensure compliance with customer service and data protection regulations with support from Legal and Marketing Teams, as well as program, state, and federal regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Research and document process, improvements and market competitor information that support SunCentral’s implementation of best-in-industry REC and PPA management
  • Become a subject matter expert and complete requests, inbound and internal requests on time, and often same-day when required
  • Work within the MRETS, GATS, WREGIS, and other REC-management platforms for the timely transfer or retirement of RECs 
  • Liaise with finance and asset management teams to create revenue forecasts, compare and reconcile variances, and analyze trends and opportunities for improvement

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • 4+ years of experience in revenue operations, finance, accounting, customer service, operations or sales operations, or project management
  • Familiarity with the solar industry, or at a minimum the broader renewable industry key terms and market
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to query via SQL or Python to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and customer management software tools, like HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement solutions
  • Bachelor's degree
