The Role

The Manager, New Business, will lead, coach, and develop a team of New Business Executives responsible for creating and closing strategic, new business within larger, complex K-12 accounts. 

Reporting to the Director of New Business, the leader will own team revenue performance, pipeline development, forecast accuracy, and execution of GoGuardian’s new-business strategy. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, field leader, and performance-focused strategist who knows when to coach, when to challenge, and when to step in to help the team succeed. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of New Business Executives to achieve individual and team revenue goals.
  • Own performance against team quotas, with a clear focus on qualified pipeline creation, strategic account penetration, and deal execution. 
  • Set and lead the team’s strategy to create demand, prioritize high-potential accounts, and build relationships. 
  • Coach sellers on strategic account planning, problem-led discovery, executive engagement, multithreading, champion development, and business-case creation. .
  • Serve as a field leader by participating in high-impact district meetings and helping sellers navigate complex buying processes.  
  • Maintain accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts using Salesforce and customer evidence to drive predictability and precision.
  • Use key performance metrics, including pipeline coverage, conversion rates, stage progression, and average contract value, to guide decisions and improve results.
  • Identify and address performance gaps through clear coaching, development plans, and accountability.
  • Attract, develop, and retain strong sales talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Enablement, Revenue Operations, and Channel teams to support customers and accelerate growth.
 

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of progressive B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 2 years leading quota-carrying sales professionals.
  • You have proven success within and leading Mid-Market or Enterprise new business teams.
  • You have consistently achieved sales targets as both an individual contributor and a sales leader. 
  • You have experience personally navigating complex sales opportunities and coaching sellers to create, advance and close meaningful new business. 
  • You are a strong coach who can develop sellers, inspire performance, and maintain clear expectations. 
  • You are metrics-driven and capable of turning pipeline and performance insights into effective action plans. 
  • You have strong executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • You have hands-on experience with Salesforce and other sales-enablement and forecasting tools.
  • Experience working within K–12 education or education technology is strongly preferred.
  • You are comfortable working remotely and traveling within your assigned region as needed.

The typical annual base salary range for this position, combined with variable pay, results in total target earnings (OTE) of between $270,000 and $280,000. Commission for this role is uncapped, meaning there is additional earning potential above the stated OTE based on performance.

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position. Individual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including primary work location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
