We are building a best-in-class treasury function to support a rapidly growing lending and fintech business. The Manager, Liquidity, Funding & Reporting is the analytical engine of CMTO — independently owning the forecasting, liquidity management, lender reporting, and covenant monitoring infrastructure that gives the business reliable visibility into its cash position and enables sound funding decisions.

This is a high-impact role with broad ownership across the full analytical layer of the function. You will work closely with the Head of CMTO and across Finance, Risk, DCM, and Engineering to build and maintain the capabilities the function needs to scale. You are joining at a formative moment — with real ownership, growing complexity, and a direct line of sight to the decisions that shape how the business is funded.

You will work alongside the Senior Treasury Operations Analyst, who owns the operational execution layer of the function, and a Treasury Analyst role currently being developed that will support data gathering, reporting preparation, and routine monitoring — giving you a strong foundation to focus on the analytical work that requires your judgment and expertise

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve OR Write your story with a career at Zip

Liquidity Management & Cash Forecasting

  • Own the existing cash flow forecast model — understand its architecture, maintain it, and independently adapt it as the business evolves with new facilities, products, and processes
  • Independently manage and optimize liquidity across the capital stack — identifying where cash can be deployed more efficiently, where facility utilization can be improved, and where timing adjustments reduce cost of carry
  • Produce variance analysis on a defined cadence — explaining the gap between forecast and actual and using that insight to continuously improve model accuracy
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity models to support funding decisions — presenting findings and recommendations to the Head of CMTO and Finance leadership
  • Model how cash flows through the business — stress-testing timing assumptions and identifying structural optimization opportunities across the capital stack; flag issues and recommend structural changes to the Head of CMTO

Funding & Capital Structure

  • Own the treasury inputs to the financial planning cycle — receivables projections, interest income and expense budgeting, and facility utilization forecasts; partner with FP&A to ensure CMTO's forward view is integrated into the broader financial plan
  • Own proactive availability forecasting across all warehouse facilities and other parts of the capital structure — independently maintaining forward-looking visibility into drawdown capacity and draw strategy optimization
  • Serve as the analytical layer for warehouse and facility operations — design the framework and advise the Head of CMTO on facility structure decisions as the capital stack evolves
  • Analyze the impact of new products, processors, and facility structures on flow of funds before they go live — bringing recommendations to the Head of CMTO

Treasury Reporting & Analytics

  • Independently produce and own a standardized internal reporting suite on a defined cadence — daily cash, weekly liquidity, monthly funding summary — for Finance and leadership
  • Own the preparation and delivery of all analytical lender and investor reports, such as borrowing base certificates, covenant compliance certificates, and securitization investor reports
  • Serve as the day-to-day operational point of contact with lenders on reporting, data requests, and compliance queries, working collaboratively with the Head of CMTO who owns the senior lender relationships and strategic CMTO conversations
  • Handle ad hoc analytical requests from Finance and leadership; own the output and turnaround independently
  • Build treasury reporting infrastructure in partnership with relevant internal teams

Securitization & Covenant Monitoring

  • Own the securitization monitoring framework — tracking waterfall distributions, reserve account levels, trigger tests, and compliance against deal documents; trustees and accountants handle the mechanical calculations, your role is to understand the framework deeply, ensure outputs are accurate, and escalate issues before they become problems
  • Design and own the covenant monitoring framework across all facility types — bank partner agreements, warehouse facilities, and securitization vehicles; other functions (Risk, Legal) own the underlying covenants — your role is to track, flag, and escalate treasury-relevant compliance items independently
  • Build automated threshold alerts in partnership with cross functional teams with clear escalation protocols so compliance is always proactive
  • Establish a formalized, recurring collaboration with Risk for portfolio covenant and concentration limit monitoring
  • Coordinate with the Head of CMTO on securitization deal structuring and ensure all reporting obligations to investors and counterparties are met on schedule

Cross-functional Partnership

    • Partner with DCM on cost of funding analysis — effective liquidity optimization requires active coordination on facility terms, market alternatives, and capital structure; bring analysis and recommendations to the Head of CMTO
    • Partner with FP&A, Risk, Engineering, and relevant internal teams to ensure CMTO's analytical outputs are integrated, accurate, and decision-quality
    • Review new products and business initiatives for treasury and cash flow implications — independently assess and bring a view to the Head of CMTO before commitments are made

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Securitization familiarity — understanding of waterfall mechanics, reserve accounts, trigger events, and investor-level reporting obligations
