Manager, Finance

Essential Job Functions:

• Oversees the development, growth, and day to day responsibilities of Financial Analyst
• Organizes and compiles data to create presentations detailing company’s operating performance for senior and Board-level executives
• Data compilation for strategic analysis to predict the opportunity cost of capital expenditures, resource distribution in markets where economies of scale are feasible, and other ad hoc requests from senior executives and Board members
• Assists in driving financial planning and analytics functions related to operating metrics and other dynamic analyses required for business management
• Provide financial analysis as needed for operational and strategic requirements.
• Undertake special projects and assist in researching technical accounting issues that may arise.
• Participates in root cause analysis in order to recommend process enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for both the Operational Departments of the organization and the Finance Department.
• Coordinate department special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables.
• Evaluate department processes. Recommend and coordinate needed changes based on process analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in Healthcare Finance
  • Advanced understanding in mathematics and strong analytical ability.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet skills; experience with graphical spreadsheets a plus. Intermediate to advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to work under strict timelines to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Ability to produce and explain financial & accounting reports.
  • Understand basic financial and accounting concepts.
• Education/Licensure:
  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Finance/Accounting
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Language Skills:
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal to work with multiple internal and external clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Mathematical Skills:
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Ability to create and maintain documents using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) a. 5.
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversees any assigned staff. Responsibilities include: recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees; assigning workload; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; and coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
