ResponsibilitiesLead data services team operations by overseeing complex data solutions, ensuring quality and scalability of deliverables, and guiding teams toward efficient, data-driven outcomes aligned with business objectives.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Design, automate, and oversee complex data processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness
Extract, transform, model, analyze, and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables
Review and provide feedback on data requests, reconciliations, testing, and solution design plans
Collaborate with engagement teams and stakeholders to develop action plans for complex data needs and confirm deliverable quality
Monitor operational metrics and proactively address performance issues, escalations, and resource gaps
Develop, maintain, and standardize team documentation, templates, methodologies, and best practices
Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader, guiding teams toward effective, data-informed decisions
Mentor, coach, and educate team members and stakeholders on data tools, capabilities, and analytics techniques
Perform quality reviews and ensure accuracy and completeness of team deliverables
Manage team workload, prioritize assignments, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
Continuously evaluate and improve data tools, processes, and team capabilities
Perform due diligence on data sources and maintain strict data confidentiality
Stay current on emerging data trends, technologies, and tools to enhance team capabilities
Participate in strategic initiatives and projects outside of standard operations
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of experience or equivalent
Expert experience with data tools (Excel, SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, AWS, etc.)
High level of proficiency in Excel and advanced data analytics tools
Expert understanding of accounting, audit, risk, and financial principles
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team management capabilities
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment
Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
Consistently exercise independent judgment in matters of significance
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
Ability to ensure team meets service level agreements and deadlines
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 years of experience in public accounting or related field
3 years of supervisory experience
Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
Proficient use of applicable technology
