Role Summary
The Manager of Individual Investor (II) Analytics leads a high-performing team of analysts dedicated to delivering impactful solutions that drive the success of T. Rowe Price’s Individual Investors (II) business. II is a rapidly evolving component of the firm’s growth, committed to empowering individual clients through innovative products, digital experiences, and personalized service.
As the Manager of II Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in influencing strategy in a visible, high-impact business area, and shape the direction of this business by harnessing data to optimize performance. In this role, you will set direction, prioritize initiatives, and coach your team to translate stakeholder questions into actionable insights. You will partner closely with leaders across II and the broader organization to design and deliver analytical products that directly improve business outcomes and enable stakeholders to make better, faster data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high‑performing analytics team:
- Hire, coach, and mentor analysts; set clear expectations; build a collaborative, inclusive culture.
- Provide hands‑on guidance on framing problems, selecting methods/tools, and translating findings into clear recommendations.
Own analytics portfolio management, prioritization and stakeholder engagement:
- Manage a balanced portfolio of strategic initiatives and routine deliverables.
- Partner with business leaders to clarify objectives, surface requirements, define success metrics, and co‑create solutions.
- Apply analytics across operations, digital, marketing, and sales contexts.
Deliver high‑quality analytical products and insights:
- Oversee development of analyses, models, and research using advanced analytical methods.
- Ensure insight is translated into tangible advice and action plans that improve outcomes.
- Monitor routine deliverables and SLAs; proactively identify and resolve data/processing issues.
Elevate BI and KPI management:
- Own a portfolio of dashboards and reporting that track critical KPIs and trends across II.
- Establish standards for visualization, self‑service usability, and stakeholder adoption.
Advance continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency:
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and re‑usable assets to reduce cycle time and manual effort while improving quality.
- Leverage GenAI to accelerate analysis, documentation, QA, and solution delivery while maintaining controls and accuracy.
- Plan and execute change management for new analytics and processes; train users, gather feedback, and iterate to maximize adoption and business value.
Champion data quality, documentation, Agile methods and change control;
- Establish and enforce standards for documentation, peer review, testing, and change management to ensure reliability and reproducibility.
- Participate in Agile stand-ups, manage backlog, and drive team velocity.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 5+ years in analytics, data science, or business intelligence, with 1–3+ years leading analysts or mixed analytics teams.
Preferred:
- Proven track record managing a portfolio of analytical initiatives and recurring deliverables.
- Experience in financial services or a similarly regulated industry ; familiarity with distribution, marketing, sales, and digital analytics is a plus.
Leadership and collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and retain high‑performing teams.
- Consultative communicator who can simplify complex topics, tell a clear insight‑driven story, and present options and trade‑offs to senior stakeholders
Analytical and technical methods
- Proficiency across statistical analysis, forecasting/time series, segmentation, experimental design/A‑B testing, optimization, simulation, and foundational machine learning (classification, regression, clustering).
- Experience working with technology partners to develop requirements and implement solutions.
- Data transformation and modeling experience; exposure to modern ELT/ETL practices and working with large datasets.
- Expertise with a leading BI platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) including semantic modeling, KPI design, and dashboard UX for executive and self‑service use.
- Cloud data warehouses/lakes (e.g., Snowflake) and Orchestration (Airflow).
- Overseeing solutions such as Python‑based pipelines to automate repeatable processes and reduce manual effort.

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

$110,000.00 - $187,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$121,000.00 - $206,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$137,000.00 - $234,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
