Manager, Account Executives – Remote, anywhere in the US

About the Role

Knock is looking for a hands-on sales manager to lead a team of fully remote Account Executives. You will be accountable for your team hitting its monthly targets for leads and loan applications.

Knock originates the Knock Bridge Loan™ — the first-of-its-kind product that allows homeowners to tap into their current home's equity to buy their next one before selling. You will run the day: coach your team, inspect the pipeline, hold the standard, and make sure every AE can position the product against the alternatives and win.

What You'll Do

  • Own your team's number — outreach activity, leads, conversion, and loan application volume against monthly targets
  • Coach your team through weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and live feedback on calls and partner meetings
  • Hold each AE to their production standard, and act early when someone falls off pace
  • Run the weekly cadence of pipeline review, activity inspection, and forecast submission, giving sales leadership an accurate read on where the month lands
  • Onboard and ramp new AEs to productivity on a defined timeline
  • Interview and hire Account Executives, and build a candidate pipeline ahead of open roles
  • Equip the team to position the Knock Bridge Loan™ against the alternatives and handle cost, rate, and timing objections from both the partner and the borrower
  • Ensure the team represents Knock's partner lender relationships correctly, including compliant framing of introductions where the partner lender retains the forward mortgage
  • Maintain pipeline accuracy and data hygiene in MeridianLink Mortgage (MLM)
  • Escalate systemic blockers — lead quality, product gaps, operational friction — to sales leadership with the evidence behind them
  • Partner with Lending Operations and Underwriting to keep applications moving once submitted

What You'll Bring

  • Proven success carrying a team number, not just a personal quota
  • Proven ability to coach sellers — able to diagnose whether an AE's problem is activity, targeting, or skill, and fix it
  • Working knowledge of how loan officers, team leads, and branch managers make decisions, and what converts them into producing partners
  • Ability to sell the product yourself and model the pitch in front of a partner
  • Comfort inspecting pipeline and activity data, and acting on what it shows
  • Willingness to give direct feedback and hold a standard consistently across a team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent Knock externally to partners
  • A deep belief in fostering inclusive, equitable practices that reflect Knock's core values
  • Proven success in a fully remote, distributed team environment
  • Recent lending experience required
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience in mortgage, real estate, or proptech, including at least 2 years leading or formally mentoring a sales team
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every listed qualification. We value potential, growth mindset, and diverse experiences.

Physical Requirements

  • Set up and constantly operate a computer.
  • Communicate and exchange accurate information to others via telephone or internet video applications.
  • Must be able to travel, including overnight travel at least 4 times per year
  • Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 20 lbs.

The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
