This position will be office-based in Munich (Hybrid) or Berlin
Bring your drive. Make an impact. Personio is driving growth in one of its fastest-growing segments: Public Sector, Non-Profit, Education & Research (= .org). With over 1,000 customers in Germany in this field, there is still massive potential for growth (99% of the market) on our way to be the Nr. 1 HRM solution in this sector. This presents a unique opportunity for a new Manager, Account Executives, to take the lead in shaping this high-potential area.
The role is supported by a dedicated and well-established team structure, including 14-16 SDRs, Solution Engineer, Marketing Manager, Bid Manager, Legal experts (with EVB-IT Cloud expertise), etc... ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Leadership & Vision: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of 7-9 Account Executives who navigate complex software purchasing processes for organizations with 200-2,000 employees.
  • Entrepreneurial Strategy: Play a hands-on role in shaping and implementing the go-to-market strategy for your segment. Collaborate closely with Sales Management, Marketing, and Sales Engineering to identify opportunities, create innovative solutions, and ensure the successful execution of initiatives that address the unique challenges of the industry.
  • Coaching & Development: Invest in your team's growth by coaching them to achieve excellence, fostering talent, and setting new standards for success. Enable continuous skill development and create a collaborative team culture.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use KPIs and data analysis to optimize conversion rates, time-to-sell, ARPA, and other metrics. Build scalable, predictable processes that drive sustainable growth.
  • Target Achievement: Lead your team to consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, with a focus on delivering impactful results for our customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Together with sales management, sales development, Solution Engineering and marketing team, you co-develop go-to-market strategies for our customer segment and implement them successfully


ROLE REQUIREMENTS: WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Leadership/Sales Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience as an Account Executive in B2B new customer acquisition and 3+ years of people management - hiring/building a team from scratch and the onboarding on these teams
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the Public Sector, Nonprofit, or Education & Research industries, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and decision-making processes in these sectors.
  • Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets, with expertise in navigating complex sales cycles and stakeholder management.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying opportunities, solving problems, and driving innovation within your team and the market.
  • Sales Expertise: Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, or Gap Selling, paired with hands-on experience using a modern tech stack (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Gong!, Groove).
  • Exceptional Communication: Confident, clear, and transparent communication skills in both English and German.
