Job Description:

LOGISTICS MANAGER

YOUR IMPACT

Own your opportunity to support national defense. Your work will help keep critical operations secure and connected across the global enterprise directly, contributing to a mission that protects our nation every day.

CIO Infrastructure Services (CIS) is growing, and we invite both our experienced incumbents and new team members to be part of what’s next. Incumbents bring invaluable mission insight, while new talent adds fresh ideas and energy. Together, we’ll strengthen continuity and drive the next generation of innovation.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Logistics Manager supporting CIS, you will ensure the smooth movement, tracking, and lifecycle management of IT assets that power a large and globally distributed enterprise. You will lead logistics operations that support technology refresh, installation projects, hardware sustainment, and equipment decommissioning. Your work ensures the right equipment arrives at the right place at the right time—supporting mission critical operations, improving asset accountability, and enabling efficient and secure infrastructure modernization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a core member of the Tech Refresh team, supporting the development and execution of the Tech Refresh Plan (TRP) by assessing, inventorying, and tracking all hardware and firmware assets across assigned domains
  • Perform demand forecasting, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, cost reduction planning, vendor selection, and distribution coordination to maintain a resilient and efficient supply chain
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams throughout the hardware lifecycle to support procurement activities, RMAs, configuration readiness, and alignment with engineering and deployment schedules
  • Manage day-to-day provisioning, spares planning, warranty coordination, and repair activity while helping develop lifecycle project management plans for hardware replacement and upgrades
  • Develop, document, and maintain logistics processes, policies, and inventory management tools to support standardization and operational efficiency
  • Plan and execute supply chain modeling, warehouse operations, and logistics design activities to support IT integration across systems, applications, storage, communications, and infrastructure services
  • Maintain accurate inventory of warehouse and storage facilities, ensuring accountability, accuracy of stock levels, and audit ready documentation
  • Identify supplier performance issues, evaluate vendor quality, and coordinate corrective actions to strengthen supplier reliability and capability
  • Coordinate with suppliers, shipping carriers, integrators, and end-users to ensure equipment arrives on time and in compliance with technical and security requirements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Logistics Analyst Senior - Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field or 10 years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree. Logistics Analyst Principal - Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field or 12 years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree.

  • CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph

  • Proven experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, supplier coordination, or IT hardware lifecycle support in a complex, distributed environment

  • Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, asset lifecycle management, and warehouse operations

  • Experience supporting technology refresh, hardware deployment, or IT infrastructure projects

  • Excellent organizational, communication, vendor coordination, and documentation skills

  • US citizenship required

  • LOCATION: Onsite
