Lifecycle Marketing Specialist

North - Remote (US)

Let’s go North, together.

Join our mission to build the largest suite of credit card processing and merchant services. It’s one simple payment platform backed by the most diverse payment companies. From credit card processing to back-office management, North points the way to smarter, faster, and just plain better payment solutions.

Job Summary:

The Lifecycle Marketing Specialist owns the customer journey from first touch through renewal and expansion. This role is responsible for designing and executing email, in-app, and multi-channel lifecycle campaigns that transition contacts through the funnel—from lead to activated customer to advocate. Acting as the primary owner of the marketing automation platform (HubSpot), this position operates at the intersection of demand generation, product marketing, and analytics, partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to deliver relevant, timely, and measurable customer experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and optimize multi-channel lifecycle campaigns (email, in-app, SMS) across the full customer journey: onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, win-back, and expansion.
  • Own segmentation and lifecycle stage definitions in HubSpot, ensuring clean handoffs between marketing, sales, and customer success.
  • Build and maintain nurture tracks for MQLs, trials, and post-sale customers with clear conversion and engagement goals at each stage.
  • Partner with Analytics/Ops to define and track core lifecycle metrics (activation rate, time-to-value, retention, expansion revenue) and report on campaign performance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data integrity issues across the lifecycle funnel (e.g., stage mismatches between HubSpot and CRM/Partner systems).
  • Run A/B tests on messaging, timing, and channel to continuously improve conversion rates at each lifecycle stage.
  • Collaborate with Content and Design teams to produce lifecycle-specific creative assets (email copy, in-app messages, triggered content).

What We Need From You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in lifecycle, retention, or CRM marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech.
  • Strong experience with HubSpot, including workflows, segmentation, and lifecycle stage management.
  • Track record of building nurture programs that measurably drive key business metrics (pipeline, activation, retention, NRR).
  • Experience in payments, fintech, or other regulated B2B industries is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently pull and interpret data to drive campaign decisions.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Sales and Customer Success teams on lifecycle and handoff processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a capability to write compelling lifecycle copy or brief creators effectively.
  • High comfort with ambiguity and a builder’s mindset focused on creating infrastructure rather than just executing existing campaigns.
  • Nice to Have: Familiarity with SQL, BI tools (Looker, Tableau), product-led growth motions, and in-app messaging tools.

What we offer:

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that enables our teams to live a life well lived, both personally and professionally. Some of our perks include:

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage
  • Flexible Paid Time Off
  • 401(k) + Match
  • Mental Health Support & Well-Being Program
  • Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave
  • Education Assistance
  • Company-funded Lifestyle Spending Account

Salary Range: $60,980-$82,500

Pay within this range varies by work location and on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We look forward to discussing your salary expectations and our full total rewards offerings throughout the interview process.

Please note: North is a US-based company and no sponsorship is available for this position at this time.
